When Johnson was sacked the Club in one statement ,just after Neil had been appointed, stated that they had a revolving list of candidate and would not be caught out again...Hollow words it looks like.
Nothing has been announced yet and what if Beale was on that list

Just because a lot dont want him doesnt mean he wasnt on the list

KLD’s recent interventions have resulted in the biggest swarm of angry fans I can remember. Michael Beale isn’t the worst human being that ever walked the earth but there’s the matter of an FA cup match with our friends up the road, who are pandered to and controlled with a surprising amount of success.

In Amanda Staveley and Mehrdad Ghodussi MBS has even set up a mam and dad to comfort them and tell them what to think.

Come to think of it, I’ve changed my mind… I really wouldn’t want that for us.

People twisting on the internet doesn't constitute an angry mob ...

... ask Bob Murray what he thinks <laugh>

I wouldn’t, basically the fan base doesn’t have a clue, and go along with any daft twat who starts the next rumour.

This. All of us football fans are reactionary knee jerking gobshites for the most part.

None of us know Beale. None of us have worked with him or for him. None of us were in the room where the conversations have taken place. None of us would even understand half of the data based jargon that they speak about if we were in the room.

Speakman is the man paid to make the decision and he shouldn't be influenced by the fans at all if he feels he's made the correct decision.

Don't disagree, but not sure what your comment has to do with my post. I would maintain that we have made progress, management wise. I would also contend that we did have a list of likely replacements

IF I'm charitable I'd say that the club had a prime target, possibly even received some encouragement and then couldn't get them, for whatever reason.
The process then continues and we end up with Beale as the best candidate.
Let's see how it plays out.
We have not made progress , that's my point. It's clear it's only oil service given by the heirachy on players, fixture or concerns of the supporters. If there were a prime target, which I don't think there ever was, surely the prudent thing to do was to ensure you had them lined up and an agreement reached before sacking Mowbray?

Again I don't disagree with having a replacement lined up before you sack the current encumbent. However there's only so much that we can do, perhaps we did receive some encouragement and misjudged the position.
The bottom line is that neither of us knows exactly what happened.
Anyway onwards and upwards, hopefully

Strange how people call them clueless knackers until it suits them <laugh>

One of them said his first game could be Bristol City at the SOL.
I sure it was people being asked who have worked with Beale or bad knowledge of him that were commenting so they may have more insight then you or I have of him.
