Another take on this... Phil Beard said that a new stadium would be at least 5 years off (which at the time of reading seemed a long time to me). I then remembered an artical http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/2011/oct/05/bbc-mulls-departure-white-city Notice they mention QPR which would mean we could only build after they leave. (Artical was 2011). What i am saying is... could we be waiting for the BBC to vacate in 2014 and then build there? I am not a developer and don't know how these things work but i have seen other clubs put new grounds up in less time, and LC stadium is mostly just land. Thoughts?
WOW! Cheers Ellers, that's amazing. Think I've just got myself a new fav stadia And it has three tiers! Time to go play with myself.
I know we had a thread before, I know this has been debated ad nauseam, but this tweet from TF, in light of the groundswell of support fro the Olympics is great news yet again. I've always fancied the LC site too.
I've just taken a look at some of their other stadia as well - all very different and all really good. I particularly like the one in Dunedin for some reason - although it's not what we should be looking at. I just like that these people know what they are doing, and design a stadium that's right for the client and the area, and not just some soul-less portacabin stuck on an industrial estate (yes, I'm calling you, Mr Majedski)...
