I used to live in Prestwich as well mate, you're spot on. Bin men didn't take ours once because there was a pair of gloves on top of the bin and they weren't allowed to touch them in case they had hypodermic needles inside. Who the hell puts needles in gloves?

Depressing little area mind mate, I'd advise your brother to think about moving!

Of course it is, 95% of their country are so poor they can't afford running water let alone aerosols and cars!

I don't really take any notice of the situation to be honest, but I think it's a good point to discuss on here, seeing as some of you lot are clued up on it, might as well learn a few bits.

They are catching up at at alarming rate though, with their totalitarian government not paying much heed to the serious global predicament we are in. India is also a massive worry, and the annoying thing is that both China and India have a fantastic opportunity to be at the forefront of producing growth by renewable energy from the word go rather than the dirty carbon producing methods that China in particular seem to be going down..

I think he's happy there mate. Just bought a place and it will be a nice little street for his kid to spend his first few years.

If they think about another in a few years he'll be looking to move I presume!

    Cheaper is better for China.

    I assume it's cheaper.

Whenever I see people from China in Manchester wearing them pollution masks I always think 'Cheeky bastards'.

How far do you take your own efforts mate? Solar panels? Compost heap? Hybrid car (I think you've mentioned you have one of those before).

I have an awesome log burner in my garden, love it, great on winters nights, I must confess my personal carbon footprint probably doesn't make for good reading.

    Where abouts is it?

The area is quiet mate, but mon-fri school run all the freaks come out of the wood work. Idiot drivers everywhere. I swear the amount of orthodox Jews I could have dragged out of their cars in broad daylight will be in the hundreds.

The Muslims are moving in from Cheetham Hill area as well, buying up loads of property in North Manchester, it's only a matter of time before the area is a warzone, Jewish Ghetto meets Muslim resistance... I'm a normal person, get me out of here. That's why I moved to the other end of Manchester.

I haven't got a hydrid (possibly on the agenda for my next car), but do drive a very small very low emissions car. I also use my bike to get around when practical..I have designed the house to be extremely energy efficient, which has had the added bonus of reducing our heating bills to a minimum. However, the initial outlay for solar panels has so far prevented me from going down that avenue...As for recycling/reusing, it is one of my obsessions, and our family could quite easily cope with monthly rather than weekly collections of our general waste..

North Road so just down the road opposite the M&S by the post office.

I think they like the quiet as they've been in city centres since they were 18.

They got a pretty nice house at a pretty reasonable price so as a starter it was ideal. Not too sure where their next move is mind.

Nice one. My future father in-law put solar panels up on his roof and he made money from it, not sure how it worked but he was essentially putting power into the grid and being paid for it, plus no electricity bills.

He's moving into a flat and told me I can have his solar panels, I've just got to pay installation and what not, might as well.

Ah yeah, right in the village.

    Less religious up that end.

I used to go to Bodytronics just near there for my supps, robbing bastard, that's not your bro is it?

So you won't be coming round for our massive hog roasting in the back garden over the 3 trees we've just cut down. Maybe that's why my in-laws aren't coming round either. Can't be because it's pork, surely.... <laugh>

I've been quiet with it for the last week as I fancied a rest. I'm settled at about 15% I reckon, which is about where I want to be and at 91kg, wouldn't mind going up a little, maybe to 95 eventually but that would be the limit. I'm going to try do 500 diamond push ups this evening and see how I hold up.

I swear by them mate. I'll never be a monster but for strength and definition they're ridiculously good. I like to be lean and strong as opposed to looking like I can crush a skull with your bear hands type of thing. Obviously, as it's not in the gym, it takes a bit of discipline to get through them and not just pack in after a couple of sets of 25 but they're perfect for me.

I've been reading Charles Bronson's fitness book. That man is an utter nutter. I'm not sure he actually has any downtime while he's awake. Just does sit ups and push ups for hours amongst other bits and pieces.

I've started kind of provisionally planning the wedding for next summer in Koh Samui. So ****ing stressful mate. Did you just let her get on with it?

Conventional sit ups are a killer mate, you'll never catch me doing them, awful exercises that should be banned!

500 push ups, **** that each to their own, you'll probably end up with tri's like Frankel's feet. Fair play for having that sort of discipline.

For bodyweight stuff, I'd do some Dragon Walks, Burpees, Hindu Pushes, Mountain Climbers.

Educated myself through the winter on postures, the central nervous system and the peripheral nervous system. There's a fella on YouTube called Elliot Hulse, who I'm a bit obsessed with at the minute for new training techniques.

I'd take 15% BF all day mate, I'm gonna have to work hard for that ****!

She's done 90% of the wedding planning, stupidly I let her manage the budget and she's gone way over. We got to the point where we wish we just went for an intimate one abroad but it's too late now. Typical_Mug

I don't know what it is but I've never been able to do sit ups. My coccyx grinds on the floor when I try and it's fecking agony. Must be slightly protruding or something. So I've never bothered!

God! He looks like a proper monster. I'm really crap at theory behind everything, it's just laziness to be honest and it's ******ed because I'd probably do a bit better with a bit less effort if I just had a bit of a read/watch.

Yeah I'm lucky in that we're from half the world away. That only really seemed like the viable option to both of us. There will probably be 15 people there, 20 at a big push, stood barefoot on some beach. **** the church!!!

Sit ups are awful mate, they can ruin your spine, they're crap for abs anyhow.

You should try Bikram Yoga mate, it's absolutely homosexual as **** in principal but it gets your whole **** in order, your spine, your body sure, but your mind and your focus most importantly. It's unbelievable mate, honestly give it a shot.
