Should interest @MrRAWhite this one. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-31989916 Motorists in Westminster who sit in a stationary car with the engine running and refuse to turn it off are to be fined £20. Is this too much now? Are people being denied their freedom to live in this country? Is this still a free country? The debate between RAW and a few others was interesting for me, it's not something I've considered at all so don't profess to be an expert but my initial opinion is that this is a drop in the ocean gesture, more a way to make money than solve problems. Anyway, there's two weeks off the PL now so feel free to pitch in with your opinions EVERYBODY, because otherwise we'll all have to talk about boring ****ing England and Woy's stupid team.
One of my bosses told me he got a fine for stopping in a box junction in London, he's a ****ing ****. He borrowed my car when he come up from London and he brought it back with a fog light smashed and half a tree sticking out the back of it. I hate this country equally for the people who live in it and the people who think they own it. **** tip mate, you've got the right idea, almost... bollocks to them spiders and crocs.
Prior to meeting my fiancé my plan was America. It still is if I can get my career going the way I hope I will and I can twist the missus' arm. I don't see much for me over here other than my family and friends and let's face it... Grandparents and parents, sadly, pass on. Brothers, sisters, friends move on to having their own families. There's bits I'll miss but when measured against what I hope to gain it's barely worth mentioning. This place is being chronically mismanaged.
Same here pal, the Mrs and I have a foot in to the US. We have a 3 year plan to get out there, should be out there for a few weeks this summer to scope out a couple of potential places for moving to, Miami and Boston, possibly both if our plan goes the way we hope. I'd avoid coming back here at all costs, I can't imagine how it feels to spend hard earned cash coming to this rotting **** hole.
Good for you mate. Hopefully I see you over there at some point!!! Now I reckon we should put a couple of helmets on as some flack may be coming out way from those who have a little more pride in Britain than we do!
We've got two weeks with **** all on the agenda mate, let's ave it! I was hoping you'd win on Saturday so @Smug in Boots would start the '**** off' thread in good time for the 2 week break! I'm at a loss now, I might have to start researching how to 'troll' people.
Say something that makes sense on the Hull board, sit back and watch them have aneurysms. Alternatively tell everyone on here Alan Shearer was your hero as a kid. Not for his footballing ability but for his hairstyle and sparkling personality.
Haha, I think I'm getting the hang of it. My next thread is going to be titled: Niall Quinn, just how much of a **** is he? Was funny watching him and Dickhead Redknapp on Saturday Night Football, completely disagreeing with each other, I was hoping Quinn was gonna pull his bottle of Bells out of his jacket and do JR round the canister with it.
A degree of subtlety is required, some of the cleverer dopes will realise you're wumming with stuff like that.
Mourinho didn't even stay around to shake his hand after the match, last time he shook Bruce's hand he said he left a smear of meat and potato on his Patek Phillipe.
Cheers for this..It is my opinion that the causes of global warming (that is the burning of carbon and deforestation) needs to be challenged from both the micro (that is individuals, families and small communities habits and norms) and also the macro (that is cities, nations and large conglomerates current methods of burning fossil fuels and cutting down the rain forests etc at an alarming rate). Obviously the 2nd of the two is by far the most vital, but it is also my opinion that every individual has to play their part..
I'd agree with that, each person has a part to play as far as their carbon footprint goes. The government should create an incentive though, whereby a person is rewarded for their efforts in recycling for example. Maybe lowering the band of their council tax for example, or something more cost effective. Currently, the government incentive is 'If you put lids in your bin with your bottles you could face a fine of up to £5,000'. Last week I buried about 8 bricks in my recycling bin as I had nowhere to put them, **** the council and their band of ****s they have as bin men, I'm only prepared to do my part if they don't be so bloody petty about small things. Like you say though, Beijing and the likes are the ones who need stopped. Me taking bottle tops off is pointless if they can't get the big boys on side. They probably produce more of a carbon footprint in a day than the population of GB does in a year.
You sniffed out the word 'footprint' and immediately come on here, the sign of a true foot-fetishist.
My brother is in Prestwych and Bury council are a fecking joke, recycle once every three weeks and even then you can barely ****ing put anything in. Ridiculous.
I agree with a hell of a lot of this...The USA and China have by far the biggest carbon footprints (although China's is still far lower than ours per capita). However it is my view that it is Joe public who can influence governments, and if we are doing our bit, but see our governments are not, then we can get them out via the ballot box..
