We have missed the 12 noon deadline to sign a striker in time for the West Brom game. Tomorrow is going to be interesting.
Steve Gallen said at the presser they were talking to 10 players with the object of signing 3. Clearly Matt Southall has not been given the brief to blow any rivals out of the water. It may be that the ones we get are 3rd choice as opposed to 23rd,
Unless he plays Hemed, but yes probably Davison. Marking Hemed would be a nice easy afternoon for any defender.
Hemed is apparently fit enough to be in the squad tomorrow, but I wonder if he will now be asked to start up front & give us 60 minutes.
It is widely thought that once/if our players come back from injuries that we'll automatically climb the table, I'm hoping this is not at the expense of bringing in the right players. There is no guarantee that the injured ones will recapture their form, and if they do it may be after a few games to regain fitness, at this point we could be looking at the back end of the season when we could be in the brown stuff.
Yes, they have to get match-fit first. They also have to avoid breaking down again, and some are injury-prone, like J F-C, Williams Aneke and Paige.
There are just over 4,000 tickets available for sale today. If you take into account the blocked off areas, the complimentary tickets, and about 3,000 West Brom...that means we have sold around 18,500 tickets so far. Disappointing IMO. What more do fans want before they come back ? We took 49,000 “fans” to Wembley.
Pretty sure if we'd have stayed injury free and sitting about 6 we'd be getting close to 21-22,000 home fans, even with rat face in charge.
The owner deserves to see at least 22,000 in the ground today. Let’s hope we can do it. A lot of people on social media / nobody in here - talked the talk these last 5 years, nows the day to part with your £27.
Big crowd, big score; unfortunately, not in our favour. will do well not to concede more than 3 today. Full of hot air, and no more!!
