You know what I meant. Same relative length of lines as are on a flying flag. Anyway despite size I do seem to recall some people noticing then and complaining as well
Yo be honest I can't recall a fuss about them. I don't even remember them. PLT must take more notice of England kit designs than me.
I won't do that, based on what you wrote I think plain old nutjob will do. The vast majority of people, like me, will have been totally unaware there was such a thing as a bisexual flag. Presumably it's one that can either be hung on an upright pole or stuffed in a cranny in the wall. Also, why would equality for people, which you say is a fundamental right, cause friction and divide people, apart from homophobes, misogynists and racists. Nutjob with bells on. Is that the heroic resolve of someone who probably didn't exist, and if he did was Turkish? That bloke? And the ancient Christian tradition of our land, much more important than the even ore ancient and longer lasting pagan tradition of our land. (Non existent) Jesus!
Turkey didn't exist at that time. It was Capadocia. If that's all you've got, I'm quite pleased you appear to disagree.
I really don’t see why anyone thinks its a good idea to politicise anything they intend to sell to the public. You’re immediately going to piss off a large amount of people whatever it is.
Apparently it's been obliterated by miscolouring it on the new England kit, according to whoever it was I quoted earlier, Ric Glasgow I think. My assertion was that it must've also been obliterated in 2010 when that year's England kit also had miscoloured crosses of St George on. I'm not sure what you're trying to say about people marching in city centres but I certainly saw some angry intolerant people shouting in Hull City Centre ahead of the Leicester game with several England flags on display, though I didn't see them march admittedly; they remained at the statue in Victoria Square.
I wouldn't be surprised if whoever came up with this shirt design had no idea about there being such a thing as a bisexual flag either, nobody's claiming that's what it's supposed to represent, the link is only being made by people who object to it.
I had no idea they were there either until I saw a tweet about it earlier. I would have also had no idea about this new one having a miscoloured flag on the back of the collar had it not been mentioned on here and on Twitter.
So far isn't it only the 'gammon' politicising it? I'm not aware of any indication from Nike about it being a 'woke' symbol. That said I think it looks crap and the should have stuck to a red cross.
Nike claim it's a 'playful twist to unite and inspire' The Cross of St George already symbolises an awful lot of history that united and inspired. They daren't **** around with any other national symbols and should respect the nations they have been paid to represent in an international tournament. It's a crazy business plan. Oh, and anyone using 'gammon' reveals a lot about themselves, and it really isn't a good look.
Surely the FA signed off on it though, so they're equally culpable. Crap decision by whoever was involved
I mean I guess if you don't like it don't buy it I always find it amazing what some people get upset about
I did wonder about that, but they've shown themselves as being politically damaged and motivated too many times for me to have much respect for them.
Another who thinks all histories, cultures and traditions should be admired and respected apart from ours.
What's wrong with having the flag of the nation on a national shirt? With the one they've chosen, who are they representing, and what are they trying to say about that nation that they're not saying about the others?
Have I seen as many angry, intolerant people shouting with flags in Hull City Centre as there are in London, Birmingham and elsewhere with flags that are not English? Probably not I suppose.
Ooh I'm looking forward to this, do share some examples of when the Cross of St George has united and inspired in our history?
