Depends on the dog. I have 4. All small breed (westie, mini poodle, springer spaniel) and they are no issue when out on leads. But there's always me and my missus walking them. And the ones that get off the lead are very well behaved (we don't let the2 little ones off as they gave little dog syndrome)
Of course it is mate, some dogs are very effective though, this one in particular. I wouldn't be very excited about one of them coming towards me off the leash, I'd automatically assume it wanted a piece of boot up it's arse.
It's not one of my favourite the spitt faced ****ers look nasty. But I have meet some great ones in the right hands.
That is absolute bollocks. Round our way, I'd put dog owners down as some of the most considerate people. Everyone picks up after the dogs, and we tend to also pick up a litter that is thrown out in the lanes by inconsiderate McDonalds eating and Costa coffee drinking arseholes.
My village is littered with dog **** chum, some of them are ignorant ****s who don't give a **** as long as it's not at their door. The local shop put two hooks in the wall so you can hang your dog lead on. It's dog **** lane down there now & there's a ****ing bin all of four foot away. I don't blame the dogs, they have to have a **** somewhere. What I do blame is the pig ignorant twats that own them.
I've got a Staffie, well a cross anyway, and I find it mildly irritating when people react in terror at the sight of her as if she's a three headed Cerberus about to tear them limb from limb. The only harm she's ever done someone is when she was a pup, covered in wet mud from head to toe, and she jumped up all over a woman wearing pristine white trousers.
You're a responsible owner mate, they're lovely dogs, a friend of the family has one and he's hilarious, still intimidating to people who feel unsure around dogs though. They've go an unfair reputation, for sure.
My uncle has a staffie and it is evil. I would not let my daughter or son near it - but that comes down to the owner not the dog as per most comments. It's never walked. My mate also has one and it's the nicest, sweetest dog you'll ever find - great with my dogs and kids - they look tough but the only thing nasty about them is how they're trained. Thye have an unfair rep for sure... But that's because of PEOPLE not dogs!! (They;re not my cup of tea but, when looked afetr correctly, they're lovely dogs!)
Exactly mate. That's another thing I don't get, people who get a dog then never walk it, poor dogs, shoved outside in small gardens to rot in their own mess. It's no wonder they become hostile when treated like that.
I'm up at 5 or 6 every morning (well, depending on Friday drinking) to take my 4 for a nice walk - sometimes I'm out for half an hour, sometimes I don;t come back for 2 hours - depends on how I'm feeling - I love walking them. Sort of gives me some chill time before going to the grind!! And mine are all small dogs (although my Spaniel NEVER tires - seen her do 20 miles+ running next to me on the bike and get home and still want more!!). To have a big muscly dog and never walk it is criminal IMO.
I've got a 5 month old German Shepherd (or Alsatian if you know them by that name), and he is the kindest, sweetest poopin machine you'll ever meet. He's teething now, so he likes to use his mouth on everything, especially your hand... but this is normal puppy behaviour, and I certainly don't encourage it, in fact i try my best to make sure he knows it hurts, a human hand isn't for biting and he has more chew toys than i know what to do with. I should have bought shares in Kong. Its all about the owner, never the dogs really. My GSD will be an absolute monster (size wise) when he's older, but he'll still be the same dog cuddling into me whimpering when lightning and thunder are about, or hiding behind me when 2 overly keen pugs are wanting to sniff his arse and say hello haha. Im spending alot of time and money ensuring he is trained and socialised at a young age, as it will be time well spent for myself later on, and more importantly, him. I have a small yard, but luckily a lot of lakes, wetland and parks about. And he loves the beach. So looks like ill be working on my tan now aswell haha Find myself starting to hate people more and more, but dogs, well, always look forward to seeing my boy!
It would have to be small font or have a head as big as Fat SAMs to get all that tattooed on but Ya right like.
