MY point is valid... I have NEVER criticized another young lad leaving LFC and have consistently stated they need to look after thier careers... examples. morgan, pacheco, eccleston, silva, alex k, amoo...

alx k and ince are two fine examples

one kid refused a new contract. the other was forced out by hodgson. one worked hard at his new club and made the swedish team. the other played 100 games in the championship and has been consistently linked with moves, refused new contract.. again.. and talks big..

the reality is by all means move but if LFC's name is being taken in vain time and again I think i've every right to call it like is see it. We are constantly being linked to this guy and i am sure its coming from daddy and frankly he only stay with blackpool cos daddy was manager.

some kids get a raw deal, some get a good move, some... look after no 1. everyone does what they do but he's left more than 2 years and still using us.

  4. The opinion on the links to Liverpool is just that, an opinion. there is no ground to argue for or against that claim.

I never said you criticse young lads that leave, it just seems to me that there is a with hunt type of thing going off when it comes to Ince and i suspect its built on the fact that he chose to leave us rather than us making the decision.

I don't see anything wrong with a player looking after number one. Do you not do this in your walk of life?

its still my opinion and i am after all entitled to say it.. just as you are entitled to disagree.. .ergo just say fair enough mito

My point is that if you say i'm picking on him cos he left then by extension that could be said of every kid so i want to point out i've said precisely to opposite and gave my reason why i am critical of the pair of them.

i can tell you if he was trying this crap with chelsea for example they'd be saying out loud, we don't ant him, he's fantasizing etc etc

Thought this lad was going to Monaco or Juventus or some other top European club?

I feel sorry for the lad - I think he has a good head on his shoulders and I wouldn't say no to him if he were to return (as a squad player). But his dad is a massive pr*ck.

  7. I've made it quite clear that I don't want him back at Liverpool. My issue is purely around that stick he gets for wanting to play football.

I know we won't agree on this, we've discussed it before too. And, of course, it is your opinion which is why I said "The opinion on the links to Liverpool is just that, an opinion"; ie, your opinion <ok>

So this long stream of people who rejected Liverpool. The question is why?

    Is this a question of:

Ayre: how'd you like to play for Liverpool.
    Player: Liverpool, awesome!

Ayre: of course... we'll only pay you peanuts. Cashews based on performance bonuses.

Player: I just remembered, I have to wash my hair next season. Sorry. Maybe next time.

The sooner Ayre is gone, the better IMO.

My main issue with those comments are that he's hardly a kid at 22, Sterling, Flanagan, Januzaj, others I'm not remembering are all playing regularly at top clubs; I can appreciate the intent in sending him to a club like CP but it does lack ambition, maybe they are self-aware and see the players limitations, just lacks the same talent as others in his age group. Don't ever see Ince as an LFC player anyhoo.

this is the ian ayre who's stood up for the club when it was nearly ruined, the guy thats negotiated every deal we've got, the guy whos an actual scouser?

yeah the sooner we put a flash american in to do nothing the better.

THE F'N SOONER OUR REVENUES ALLOW FSG TO ALLOW LFC TO PAY THE CL WAGES THE BETTER.

  12. I think it shows ambition. Rather than staying in the Championship, he's joined Palace on a six month loan to put his self in the shop window. Its his opportunity to show the bigger clubs that he can perform in the top leagues.

  13. Agree with this. I did start to respond the Jimmy's comment but stopped myself as I didn't want to go down that road again (there's a thread for it already).

agree, not down to ayre, more the ruddy budget he has to work with in.

players want decent wages, and if we want decent players we have to pay for them, just hope we get top 4 this season, as if not dreading the type of players we will end up getting in the summer ie cheap and ruddy cheerful crap.

just hope ayre isnt a scapegoat, although i do think he should be more the commercial side of the business.

Henry is not tying your hands re wages or transfers. He is solely giving us a budget drawn upon financial realities. It's up to Ayre, Fallows, Brendan to use that budget smartly re both wages and transfers. The more Aspas, Moses, Illoris, Cissokhos and another half dozen middlings you bring aboard, the less dough you have for a Kono or a Shaw. I fault our committee.

make your mind up.. is it your hands or our budget

your point merely reinforces mine. i said "OUR REVENUES ALLOW FSG TO ALLOW LFC" ergo our revenues must support the wages. fsg could flood us with cash and break ffp if the wished but they don't

My point is very clear. We've been risking (or squandering - depending on the eventual outcome) a decent budget on a dozen middling players. And that's not FSG's fault.

I'm not saying Ayre is to blame. I have no idea who is deciding what we can and can't offer. He may not get to decide.

We are the 12th richest club in the world... and yet smaller clubs like Palace and Spurs are able to get our transfer targets ahead of us.

I do agree with being responsible financially... but why are we so unable to compete?

Not that I am saying Ince is the answer to our needs.

Based on everyone who turned us down our transfer strategy was:

Offer lots of people crappy deals and hope someone accepts. We have no primary targets... just anyone will do as long as they accept peanuts.
