agree lambert is the more impressive of the two. i wonder if lambert has been clever (again) here. rodgers has jumped into the liverpool hot seat a bit too early. if he fails at all in that job its doubtful he'll get another big club go after him again. in fact, i wouldn't bet against him returning to swansea at some point. lambert however, has joined a big club on its knees. if he does well then he'll be looked at for the next big job that comes up and it'll be an easier one than the current liverpool job! it'd probably be one where everything is already in place and he can jump straight into winning things. he won't stay at villa for long though - if he does well he'll be off again and if he does badly he'll be sacked. no middle ground as far as i can tell - the middle ground won't be deemed good enough. i don't think his loyalty will be an important issue for a huge club as he'll have no need to jump again. the reason he keeps jumping is to get to the top.
Interesting comments from geordies. http://www.nufc-forum.com/nufcforum/index.php?topic=45472.0 Largely reinforces what we've already heard
yeah, some more good comments. the 'switching tactics two or three times a game' thing is going to be very important, as it was last season
nice try! how's the swans search going? i thought jones was a shoe-in a few days ago!! michael laudrup looks like the pick of the bunch linked...
Just watched the Lambert presser in full. Think I just threw up in my mouth a little In all seriousness, we cannot affect his season with Villa. I don't care if he is successful or fails. I do, however, want to smash villa when we meet them. The Board is set, the pieces are moving. Lets get hughton and push on.
