well, we'd spend £2.5m on a player who we thought would benefit the team, so why not spend that money on a team (not just hughton - he's bringing his assistants and the england gk coach, maybe even chief scout too according to journo's in the midlands)? his style of management is closest to lambert of the available candidates too - he is a man-manager and tactician. this means it'll be the smoothest transition possible. you're completely missing hughton's obvious talents. what a surprise!
Think getting Hughton is a great move, especially giving him enough time to get with the team. Since we have been linked with everyone from Bergkamp to Sinead O'Connor I doubt we will have a manager much before the whistle goes for the first game.
I'm sure and I hope you will do fine. Plenty of managers should want the job, excellent support, supportive chairman and a great footballing philosophy already in place. Hopefully you will get the right man and we can resume our healthy rivalry for many years to come in the prem
sinead o'connor will do a great job at swansea. she reminds me of brian mcdermott and nothing compares 2 him
"If i had a choice of Jewell or Hughton i would pick PJ because he (even with all his faults) has experienced the tough side of management rather than everything being given to him on a plate, if i had a choice between PJ or Holloway, i would have Holloway every single time without question." Oh my God! When you have finished chasing that dragon and stopped being delerious come back to earth! You must be smoking crack. I can't believe you have openly stated that on a public forum and as for CH not experienceing the tough side of management what has this season been like for him? Can't believe you put that.
Yeah, but hughton has never followed the dark lord! you could have 50 million to spend but after that idiot anybody would struggle!
No way!! Do you think it's Mikey in disguise? I can't believe he has written that! Forget the fact that he may be our new boss I have huge respect for CH for what he did at Newcastle with Barton and co in the team. He must be on crack Super's. No other explanation for it! Rather have Holloway than CH?! What a doughnut!
yeah, fair enough. you're totally wrong about hughton though. i think you're probably a little pissed off we appear to be getting him too. no doubt you'd have preferred it had we gone for steve bruce
We're gonna be okay guys. Mcnally will see us through this storm. If he get Hughton it will be fantastic news. I see no reason why Hughton can't be just as good if not better than Lambert.
TBH, I take exception to the drug references. I think something so serious can be trivalised like that is disgusting. Call me a doughnut/idiot whatever you want but that is bang out of order. Its my opinion, just because it differs doesn't warrant a comment like that.
OMG! What are you smoking? ... can I have some please? actually Guru I'm one of the few who thinks you talk some sense at times, deluded, but at least based on some kind of rational logic, but this? honestly really?????
Given the increasing trend for players to follow managers - possbily including Grant Holt going to Villa - who should be on the target list from Birmingham, if anyone? I just hope none of their strikers King, Rooney and the Serbian Peter Crouch, Nikola Zigic? Although, I could see the latter actually happening as a short term fix, though, I really hope not....
He made one or two shrewd signings at Newcastle, Ben Arfa and Tiote among them but I have no idea of what they cost. And of course there is a link to Shola Ameobi!
I have backed you up in one argument a few weeks back. But that statement about PJ over Hughton has no logic to it at all, hence my drug comment. If it offends you I apologize but I think your on the wind up a bit today.
Guru, I am not the only one saying it....................most are................! Remember you are on the Norwich forum and what you are saying makes no sense to most on here! In fact I would bet my house that if were to offer any of the clubs on here a choice of Paul Jewell or Chris Hughton the overwhelming majority would pick Chris Hughton. In fact dammit, I may just put a poll up on the ipswich forum to gauge the mood..............
