Sounds pretty reasonable, perhaps the only downside is that if I've read that article correctly he wouldn't be able to join until October, but presuming the current temporary setup isn't hindering things for Alex Neil and co, I'm not too worried about that. It's an important appointment to get right, and arguably somebody coming in now could upset our current platform for making transfers, or not be up to speed in time to really influence things anyway.

I feel ok with it - I think Wolves have been a well run club and not lived beyond their means. Don't think he'll be as lively as McNally but could be a good influencer and has all the right experience.

I agree OCF. My one doubt is that he probably won't join us until after the transfer window closes, but perhaps he's passed on some advice about the current situation. ;)
 
The BBC report says that he will assume his position once he has overseen the takeover at Wolves. This was reported elsewhere as not being until October I believe.
 
Sky Sports are reporting that Moxey has been allowed to finish early at Wolves, as their new owners have already installed his replacements. So Moxey should be with us shortly.
