I'm optimistic at the moment, so I'm going for a win and a happy weekend And I will feel so much better But you are right, it has not been great to watch Leeds the last few games
I hope you're right Norway, but after witnessing last weeks embarrassment, I'm a bit worried, especially if Leicester score early on...fingers crossed..
I think it was either gonna be Ross or Pearce. Pearce maybe isn't quite ready and Ross is probably the only player that really takes to leeds united, communicates with fans and has real pride in the club he plays for. I understand the decision completely.
Norway, not disagreeing with you but you talk as if you were there for those conversations. I am basing my opinion on what I think. If your statements are correct please back them up and I will change my opinion.
Maybe not a bad idea, some people are great at their jobs but when given a position of authority can't handle it. As Shako said,I would've preffered a CM or CB,but let's face it none of them are up to the task, barring Pearce maybe, Things do need changing as recent results suggets, the obvious answer would be to buy some class players, but we all know that story.
Morning all. I think it was big and honourable of Austin to ask to have the captaincy taken off him. Maybe now he can concentrate on controlling our midfield. Ross taking over should be a good move (not the desperation gesture suggested by some muppet on another site). Let's hope it doesn't affect his goalscoring. With all of this, I now have a good feeling about the weekend. On one side we have the top of the league team coming to ER after we were roundly stuffed last week. Weighed against that, we have a new captain, a Manager who held a clear the air meeting, a Manager who has put his hands up to say that he got team selection wrong last week, and a team that's had over a week to get used to possibly playing with two wingers. I hope Hunt starts with Ross; a. to show what he can do in a more attacking formation; & b. to put pressure on the Leicester back 4 as he apparently has an incredible leap. I'm going for 3-1 Leeds. (WUMs need not comment, but I'm donning the tin 'at for all the grief I expect to receive)
Ross probably an obvious choice as he's the only guaranteed name on team sheet every week. As for Leicester game, I've a feeling we might get a draw and of course everything will be rosy in the garden again ..... For some
This. He needs to concentrate on his goals (fk me we need them) He's also a bit of a hot-head at times. As for strikers being made captain, don't like it. Prefer a goalkeeper or defender as they can generally see the whole of the pitch.
Fair point RCDM. Defenders or midfield generally make beter captains because they can see more of the play, but its not an exact science. Only time will tell.
