I tend to agree with Eric Idle, who said he loved the intensity and seriousness of club football but regarded Internationals as holiday football where teams should just play without tactics and theatrics and just go for it.
WINTER BREAK, WINTER BREAK, DO ME A ****ING FAVOUR. All that would mean is that we would have football for 12 months a year, the little darlings would still be tired. Here's a radical idea, how about looking at skill on the stats front rather than how many miles a player runs during a game, or how many tackles he gets in, or how far he kicks the ball. We are becoming just like the Scots, chest's puffed out, tub thumping, Anthem chanting, charging around like headless chickens with absolutly no ****ing idea what we are trying to do. Beckham, Gasgoine, Rooney, we always rely on this one icon to solve all our problems, IT NEVER WORKS!!!!! So letting the millioners have a nice relaxing winter break, won't help on any front, they will come back and play the same way, and be told that the're brilliant. **** watching England again, IT'S EMBARASSING!!!!!!
