on a serious note I was quoted £40k for a second story 2 room extension (block and render) and a loft conversion

I am nearly done and including labour and materials have paid a third of that, using professionals and not dodgy foreigners

anyone need work doing or want work giz a shout

Funny you should say that; I'm just watching a Ross Kemp program about builders hiring illegal immigrants <whistle> <laugh>

mate you should see them try it on. one fella came in asked for work, had all papers and a week later had been deported

Last week had 3 poles (father son and sons maternal uncle) turn up and say they have loads of experience etc (they from EU so not illegal). I asked how much they charged and they gave me some rates. I laughed and asked them to toll it up for plaster a ceiling in an 11 x 11 room. Total £408. Told them to feck off back to Poland with those rates

A Pole quoted us a hundred pounds more than anyone else for a kitchen ceiling repair. Said we'd have to get our own skip, too (he recommended someone with -ski at the end of his name, naturally). Needless to say, we took our custom elsewhere.

Jip, what's the deal with my tags etc? Which dribbling failure do I need to interact with to have them re-instated?

Well, that's not cricket. I'll stick to my rudimentary Not606 version in that case.
