NEW BANNER - Make your vote count!

like #1, but am a little concerned the top bar is going to cover up the whole plane and most of the faces of Mac, Cisse, AT and TF, leaving them visible only from their noses down. Would like to see how it fits in the window, because if that's the case, the whole point of the banner goes amiss...

 

Can adjust to suit. Simples.

 

Have to say i think image 8 is brilliantly quirky, to me it says that we don't take ourselves too seriously, we can have a laugh and no doubt it would make any visitors to the board smile.

Some of the images showing the F1 car and plane are IMO a little tacky, reminds me of the Harry Enfield character "loads of money", not really what we as a club are about.

Being practical 8 might not be the wisest choice although it could be fun to see it as the banner for a few weeks just to see the reaction, so i'll go for 11, an uncluttered image linking 2 truely talented players spanning a generation.

 

I really like DT's banner. Simplicity for me, coming from a twerp who's possibly over-complicated things...;-)

(love the fact that #8 is fourth....this took 4 minutes to throw together....)

 

I think they are all great .. and I hope one of 68's wins but i will say hopefully without sounding like a prick ... the montage artworks need a bit of colour balance work:

A quick and dirty method


Dup up the all the layers and place them into a group folder
Select these layers and merge them
Stick a curves adjustment layer above this and sample the white, mid and black areas

The whites should all be whites ... sorry but i get anal about colour correction

Posts usually only fail to materialise when we absent-mindedly move back to the top of the page forgetting to 'post quick reply'. It's happened to me a few times.

 

I'd like to throw my hat in for DT's second go around with the mass debates. I think it's simple and to the point (just like the man himself!)Any way we could throw that into the poll?

 

Nothing I can do to change the poll running. What can be done though would be to let it run for one more day (48 hours in total). Then close it and take the, say three most voted images and DT's contribution in one final poll containing four images.

This would actually let the ones that have voted for the images not winning still have say in the final banner.

Actually a good idea that gets my vote. But it's up to the rest to decide. Thoughts?

As I said, can re-jig to fit. Don't fret over that.

i think it would have been best to put the banners in and then take a screen shot as I think the ones with the players look best now but the simpler ones may look better when put into the webpage.

 

Have gone for 10...but it would have been better with Rodney in and the racing car out!!

Forgot to say, the eventual new poll will end at the same time as this one, on thursday.

But it will be important to let everyone know that there will be a new and final vote to provent confusion. Maybe put something in the headline? Suggestions would be welcomed if this come to pass.
Doesn't have to be three from this poll, think two will do and then get DT's added so that it will be three final contestants.

Again though I stress that this will need a general consensus.

 

The picture currently in the lead, number 10, looks a bit tacky to me

Think I'll wait for the final-final vote.
Not sure the banner reflects the season ahead enough for me new kit, new team additions, prem league etc. But well done '68 for the work put in.
Probably go for DT's second effort as it reflects the club, EPL, new kit for the season and TF who has done so much to bring the club forward for the coming season. Perhaps the header text could read:
