When New Balance first appeared on the British scene I bought a pair of their football boots. They were the best boots I ever played in and I had a fair few football boots in a long a lustrous career.

Not sure, there is always that schemie casual vibe from Adidas, not as bad as Reebok Classics but still a touch of the Saturday afternoon rumpus about them.
Never understood the casual's penchant for getting dressed up in flash gear only to get it covered in claret during a swedge, I would have thought more functional attire would have been more appropriate. Last thing you need is blood all over your Sergio Tacchini.
