We're entitled to our opinions. You like it, some don't. Doesn't make your opinion right or the people who don't like it right either. I'm 40 yrs supporting the club and I don't think the change was needed. Eddie Gray isn't a fan either. We all know it's only a money spinning exercise. I've no problem with people wearing it, I won't be. It doesn't mean that my opinion is any less valid as those who disagree.
I'm trying to remember our kit with black in it and I can't remember it, the nearest we got to black was a dark blue.
That just doesn't look like Leeds. They could have at least made the lime green parts yellow. I'm pretty gutted our away kit isn't yellow.
please log in to view this image (It does look slightly navy in this picture but it is black) And my point was merely that, whether people like it or not, i don't get the fuss about it not being yellow. We've had away strips that weren't blue/yellow in the past and we'll have them again in the future. It's not as if we've abandoned our colours, the home kit's still white and we already have a blue and yelow away strip. Whether people like it or not has nothing to do with my point.
It'll look like you're in mourning - wait a minute though - you probably will be by the end of the season!
I think this is as close as we have ever got to having "black" in any of our strips. I am aware that it is dark blue, but initially it looks black. please log in to view this image
I guess I'm old school, but I don't like it,maybe for training or casual wear. and as for the greenhighliter bits,FFS
It is black, it just looks dark blue in the pic because of the light. Anyway my point still stands that we should be more open-minded to "non-traditional" colours, especially when it's only (essentially) the 3rd kit.
My son has the top in question and it's not black, it is clearly dark blue. Mind I do the washing in our house and I'm not great at getting it done properly, it may be I've damaged the top!
I'm with you there. But watching the goals on SSN yesterday I thought the kit looked better in action than it does on the OS. I would have preferres a more golden hue.
Maybe it is my eyesight haha. But my original point still stands that we shouldn't (in my opinion) be so afraid of a bit of a change now and then.
We'll be having the last laugh. When we travel to some tinpot club like Doncaster and the floodlights fail, all you will be able to see is our badge glowing in the dark...
