You'd have thought Phelan an ex Man U coach (despite previous Norwich links) wouldn't have gone to be a number two at a championship club. Stranger things have happened.
I agree, think Meulensteen would prob want a bit of a wedge given his past few roles, there will surely be some cheaper alternatives out there, christ knows who tho
"@HumbersideSport: #hcafc boss Steve Bruce has revealed to us that he's offered the assistant manager's job to someone. More @RadioHumberside at 1.06pm"
Could it be mike phelan? He's been waiting for the Norwich job They've confirmed Alex Neil today who may want his own assistant or phelan doesn't want to be his.
Phelan or Meulensteen would be awesome. I would think Brucey would go for someone older and more traditional, now I've just said that, we'll end up with Phil Neville!!
Alex Neil wants to keep Phelan. Rene is currently working as a consultant for Philadelphia Union, so that one wouldn't be impossible, but he did only join them in November.
I've also just heard Ja Jay ****ing Okocha has been offered it! Take that with a **** ton of salt! must be bollocks, is bollocks. Would be fun though!
"@mattdeanradio: Nicky Butt would be a great fit for #hcafc as new assistant boss." "@mikewhitesport: Nicky Butt for Hull City's new assistant manager??? #hcafc" Are they hinting at something?
Why would he? I'd rather an experienced coach who knows the ropes than just a name. Got to earn your stripes.
I'm afraid Humberside made a typo earlier on. What they meant to write was steve Bruce has offered the job to Simeone.
