You may be waiting as the idiot hasn't got the brains to come back with a comment that is good enough to match the last two.
    Cheers that hilarious.

More arrogance from the Govan Gob.He underestimated Leeds and got his comuppance.Leeds deserved the result thats for sure, and beating them in their own back yard must also have been sweet.

Oh so now we are talking luck? Have you ever even won a cup without penalties? You wouldn't have even got in the final in 05 if Garcia's goal had rightly been ruled out. Plus you had the gift of a Milan side who thought they had the game won at 3-0. 3 stuffy goals in 6 mins doesn't make you the best side in Europe. Forgetting that you finished nearly 40 points off Chelsea in the league and behind little Everton. That shows it was pure luck. I'm sure you remember the hammering you took in 2001 FA Cup Final when 2 last minute goals won the game for you (sound familiar) and the 2006 FA Cup final when you were hammered by the Hammers and needed pens to beat them too. In 2007 when Milan were on their game they embarrassed you. It should have been a lot more as well. Also if you hadn't played fodder like Brugge and Monchengladbach in the finals not to mention the one trick ponies Roma in the final you would have been on 2 as well!

Oh you mean the time where the opposite team has to stop playing while they let United score? You never heard of playing to the whistle?

Gotta love this guy, EPITOME of a manc, could also be an aftershave, smells like blind stupid idiocy.

2007 was a flat game, not the best final but more of a contest that your last two finals. <doh>
Liverpool were in the game to the final whistle, United were out of both finals after 15 minutes equaliser or no <doh>
Of your three wins all three were lucky, Benfica collapsed in extra time Bayern the same and Terry. <doh>
Summary, United suck ass in Europe

You never heard of playing to the rules of the game,if a final is drawn at the end of normal time and after extra time penalties settle the match.

If a ball crosses the goal-line its a goal,as were Garcia's,and the three we got in Instanbul.

<laugh> Now this shows you are desperate for a game of one upmanship. As if you have ever even seen one single minute of the 1968 European Cup Final. Fact is and you all know it, this Barcelona team is probably the best side the World has ever seen. They are still so young and will go on to win many more European Cup's. There is no shame in being beaten by the best. And they ARE the best. By a mile.

So what you are saying is you need penalties to win the game because you aren't good enough to win in normal time? You scored 3 lucky goals against Milan and then held on for your life to get to penalties. Same with West Ham, you scraped through to penalties. It shows how poor you are when you haven't won a trophy in 5 years. And you haven't been the country's best team in 21 long long years.

Garcia's goal didn't cross the line. The rules of the game state you shouldn't have been in the final. But referees are on your side of course therefore you got into a final you didn't deserve to get into.

Look again, no hiding behind how good Barca were, United were sheite and that had nothing to do with Barca and everyting to do with the failings of Fergie and the players and their individual egos not making en effective collective whole, as Barca were, skill and talent apart look how much ground they covered they worked 4 times as hard as united and that has fk all to do with skill.

Mate as for my format of response, it is the kind you have been using all along, so oneupmanship is all you are about there matey. Also, you have to get the last word in and are probably never wrong?Come back when your team well and truely have mastered Europe, until then your words are empty bitter echos

    Oh btw

If you have to be league champions and only play league champions in the european cup, it is crystal clear it is harder, just to qualify never mind win, all other reference to opponents does not matter if you can't qualify as United couldn't and when they did got beat, it wasn't easy for United was it? But it was for Liverpool? That just don't make sense, just because Liverpool were so fkn good doesn't mean it was easy, it was not easy for Barca to pass real was it? no, real are far superior to UNited as well, it seemed easy against United well it was but they beat the best of the rest in Real Madrid in the Semis, United in the final is as shocking as Scalke making in to the semis

<laugh> Right so in Istanbul it wasn't how poor Milan were in the 2nd half it was how great Liverpool were but when it comes to United it is how bad they were? Make your mind up. You talk as if 2005 was some sort of miracle but it wasn't. It was one team who didn't come out of the dressing room at half time and you luckily scored 3 quickfire goals. No team has dominated the Champions League over the past 20 years like Barcelona has and as said before the past 20 years of European Cup football is twice as difficult compared to the European Cup years, as it shows as nobody has retained the trophy in 20 years.

As for Liverpool dominating Europe back in a time when Nottingham Forest's Second Division side won back to back trophies, playing Malmo in the final while Aston Villa even managed to get in on the act. Teams retained the trophy much easier back then so I don't think Liverpool are a special case. Not when you only had to beat Monchengladbach and Brugge in the finals. You didn't exactly dominate did you. That team of the 70's and 80's wouldn't be able to do what they did back then, now.

Back in the 70's and 80's you would never see AC Milan or Inter Milan in the same tournament. You would never see Real Madrid or Barcelona in the same tournament. Just because the teams were all Champions you think it was more difficult? The 4th best side in Spain, Italy or Germany would have hammered the Champions of Belgium, Sweden or Switzerland just as they would now so you are talking rubbish. Liverpool would face cannon fodder like Zurich in the semi finals and they were stupidly poor. Doesn't mean anything that they were champions of a two bob league.

Also explain please how Real Madrid are better than United. As they haven't won the league in the past 4 years and hadn't got past the Last 16 in the Champions League for the past 6 years either? United have won 4 of the last 6 League titles and have reached 3 Champions League finals in 4 years. Yes Madrid are much better, just because they have pretty names like Ronaldo, Ozil and Kaka..

    Clueless mate.

Glad you said would, a probability, Modern teams would be kicked off the pitch if you played by the old rules are you insane?!? They would have 7 injured players before half time without even a card going to the oldies team by oldies rules, not a fk chance. Kicked off hte pitch, saying that a team from back then would not beat a team from now with Modern rules either, incomparable facts dont make an argument and probability is useless if you don't know ALL of the variables, it is just opinion and nowhere near actual truth, so to that end you can compare the task rather than impossibly comparing old and new teams with different rules kit and player fitness tactics ect, the task on the other hand can be directly compared.

You have to be champions of your own league, a big ask over 4th place you need now. Huge difference, absolutely massive and should not be understated. This single fact makes it 100fold more difficult to even qualify let alone win. And it was also a big point again with the task of winning it, that creative teams can have the crap kicked out of htem back then when they are protected now, huge difference and a difference that is significant when playing a so called crap team, back then they had licence to kick all manner of crap out of you to stop you playing.

These are valid reasons for arguaing it was harder to win I think, in my opinion and not inescapable truths

So what you are saying is the modern teams would not win the old European Cup because they would get kicked? Yeah great way of playing football. See I am stating what I think and you are taking that as what I believe to be facts and slating it. On the other hand you state that Real Madrid are in fact better than United. How? Where the hell is the evidence? I have provided some yet you haven't. In the European Cup wins of the 70's and 80's Liverpool faced Benfica twice, Bayern Munich once and Real Madrid once in them 4 title winning campaigns. Take a look through yourself. These 3 teams are the only real European Powerhouses Liverpool come across. In FOUR campaigns. The rest were Champions from poor leagues in Finland, Denmark, Switzerland etc. It says it all that nobody has retained the European Cup since higher calibre of teams were allowed to enter.

If you think United had a better season performance wise than real madrid this season then there is no point in further discussion. They have played better won more games but you will say, Premiership and CL final, forgetting Real dont play in the prem and that they faced and played far better against Barca than ye in the semi. Just one of their players got 54 55 goals this season, ore than yer best two combines I think. united barey managed on the road this season while Real Madrid kept hte spanish league interesting by keeping up with Barcalona the team United cant touct with a 5 mile pole

As for your so called evidence, it is opinion dude, cant you see that, you had to win the league to get it, sorry but that is harder to do, you have to get top spot and beat 19 other opponents to the top just to get in. After that it matters not about incomparable facts, I just can't see how you can compare games teams directly, at least without some sort of matrix:)

United won a league. Reached a final. Madrid won a cup. United had the better season end of. Madrid fared far better against Barcelona? Does it not come into your brain that they know them better? They faced them 5 times this season alone. They are bound to win one or two.. They performed well in a sunnier SPL well done to them. It is no coincedence that they finished 21 points ahead of 3rd place. That league is a joke compared to the Premier League. Would we see United going to City and putting 6 past them? Would we see Chelsea going to Arsenal and putting 6 past them? No because the Premier League is much much more competitive. United ended up winning the most difficult league in the world by 9 points. Also by pointing out that United can't touch Barcelona with a barge pole how the hell would Liverpool fare if they finished over 20 points behind United in the league? Good god they would hammer you.

Also would your theory work for the World Club Cup? As you have to win the European Cup to qualify for it. So it must be the most difficult trophy in the World to win. In effect you are beating every other team in the World so by your logic the World Club Cup is the most difficult thing to win. You need to win your domestic league, then you need to win the European Cup and beat the best team in South America. 2 > 0
