Just watched the first two of The Assembly. ( ITV) A group of autistic people interviewing famous people (Danny Dyer & David Tennant with Gary Lineker and someone else coming up) It’s just fantastic. Heartwarming and often emotional. Just going back to watching the original one on BBC with Michael Sheen too.
One of the best things I’ve ever seen on the telly, the pilot episode is top, top , top telly…. In my humble opinion….i saw a dvd of it in a charity shop a Cpl of weeks ago… still kicking myself for not buying it… 50p… you ****ing idiot norm…
The other one is the fat bird out of that girl group… **** your not supposed to call her fat… ah well never mind too ****ing late now…
No it’s the ugly fat bird in the girl band, saw her on the adverts for it, dyer, dr who, Gary and the bird…looked it up it’s Jade thirlwall.
Chernobyl, Mr Promised Land on Sky Documentaries. Only half an hour long, it’s the story of a family who move to a sleepy village near Chernobyl with big dreams, but don’t really fit in. Then everything changes when the Russians invade and he signs up to fight. Very interesting little insight into the human story of life in Ukraine at the moment, I wish it had been longer.
For those who watched Temple, the drama about the surgeon with a hidden underground clinic, I just stumbled across the entrance.
There used to be an underground tram and bus interchange down there. The other end of the tunnel is on the approach to Waterloo Bridge.
Torn between watching Mobland next or This City is Ours are any of them as good as Gangs of London or Kin ? ..proper violence, cant help but think the BBC one will be very watered down?
Haven’t watched Mobland yet but would highly recommend This City is Ours. I was only thinking the other day that it was similar in style to Kin. To be fair though, I didn’t particularly enjoy the first series of Gangs of London and turned the second series off a few minutes into the first episode. Just seemed totally OTT.
