Agreed, one of the best series I’ve watched in awhile. Starts slowly but gets better with each episode.
Well, I just went and watched Conclave...gives a great flavour for the upcoming real action in Rome in a couple of weeks' time...underhandedness, back stabbings, betrayals, false bonhomie...unfortunately it won't be televised
Well, with it being Luthor Vandross, the crowd would've been pretty sparse so you should be able to spot yourself.
Just watched the first 3 episodes of Andor Season 2. I was so looking forward to it, but it just started in the middle of a story, didn’t really progress much, hopefully all gets tied up. It looks good, went quickly, despite it being nearly 3 hours long, just felt like it needs more meat on the bones, not sure why the great reviews everywhere, at the moment.
Severance - Wife started watching from Episode 1, I didn’t, episode 2, don’t think I missed anything, don’t think I’d miss anything if I’d never watched a single episode. It might go somewhere in the end, I doubt I’ll see it if it does. I couldn’t care less what happens to any of the characters.
Loved the second series of 1923 (Yellowstone spin off). 1883 was also excellent and I’d highly recommend both. Second episodes The Last of Us was also brilliant. It made you realise that episode 1 was just setting you up for the knockout punch in episode 2. Not massively into the genre but this is so very watchable.
Seen all the Yellowstone series brilliant watch, seen season 1 of last of us enjoyed that but letting the episodes build up for season 2 to binge watch.
I never think the IMdB ratings are too far from my views (Substance being the only ever exception). The Last of Us - Series 2 episode 1 - 7.5, episode 2 - 9.5. Absolutely spot on!
Tom Hardy’s new film, Havoc, is terrible by the way. Some dreadful CGI, basic plot and almost non existent dialogue. Guns that are able to shoot thousands of rounds and humans that take a thousand rounds to be killed. Some of the close hand to hand combat is decent and shoot out scenes (despite never ending ammo) make this almost watchable, but not quite.
Never pay to much attention to ratings it’s only someone else’s opinion and quite often I have enjoyed series and movies with poor ratings.
I agree to an extent but when 36,000 people have given a rating, I have found it generally backs up my opinion. Having said that 300.000 rated The Substance to give it an average of 7.3 and it is out by about 7 in my own rating.
Those were the days TC, used to love going to Speedway, the only time I went to the Boulevard, never did for Rugby.
