Enjoyed Blood Coast, setting in Marseille. It got some poor reviews but anyone who liked Spiral would probably enjoy it. Also Jaguar, about a Jewish girl who whose family was wiped out by the Nazis taking revenge. You have to suspend your disbelief at times but worth a watch.

Read most of the books over the years as they were in my work library, and now seen the series and I'll add to the recommendation.

Swerved it so far. I rather think it will irritate me greatly.

We know that your female colleagues have no appreciation of the aristocracy or the culture surrounding them Chazz.

Bloody proletariats & plebs. Aim higher, you’re better than that.

It was sort of weird in a good way. Worth a watch through unblinkered eyes.

    This from a Guardian review,

I'm pretty much a blood on the quad type of guy. See a posh, public school boy and I have an immediate hankering to re-enact an 'If' type scenario and gun down the parasites from any suitable bell tower.

That aside, the Missus sez she fancies watching Saltburn. Years of experience has taught me that if she thinks a film will be good, it'll inevitably be ****e.

Oh, one more reason why I'm trying to avoid it. I presumed when I first heard about it that it was about Saltburn-by-the-Sea, which is a place I love, and it patently isn't.

Confusing film naming ****s that they are.

You wait until you find out that Reservoir Dogs features no reservoirs and if there are any dogs in it they certainly don’t feature as main characters! .

Tarantino though, so all is forgiven.

If he made a film where a bunch of gung ho 'Mericans change the course of World War Two and eventually incinerate Hitler in a French Art cinema, thus ending the war, I'd still watch it.

    Guy is without peers.

She’ll have heard, down the bingo, that you get an extended eyeful of a swinging tallywhacker. Not even relevant to the plot.

    How times have changed.

Incongruously, even though she spent her formative years in a flat off Holderness Road adjacent to a bomb site, then later upgraded to a Bransholme maisonette, she's never shown the slightest interest in the Bingo.

Unlike the youngest daughter, who was brought up in the height of luxury and is obsessed with something called Bongo Bingo.

Her house is full of absolute ****e that she's won there.

Last night she won a motorcycle crash helmet which she then wore all evening - as witnessed on many an Insta account.

She's never ridden a motorbike in her life., soppy mare.
