Watched the first two episodes of “ finding Alice “ last night For me it was a tough watch, can’t really understand the theme of the series and is very grey and dark. Hopefully it gets better as it goes on
I've watched the series 3 times now, like you say, when you just want to watch something easy to sit down too, then is fits the bill.
On my 3rd now. The missus and me went down to Gloucestershire for Detectival. Quality weekend in red hot weather. She is watching it for the first time and just loves it. Sadly no more to come.
I can understand why though, Mackenzie Crook who wrote it and played Andy said he wanted to finish on a high and not try to do another one that wasn't good enough.
He did indeed and in truth great series are alway the shorter ones ie Fawlty Towers, the office and detectorists.
I’ve 1 episode left to watch of the second series of “ Crime.” I loved the first series but this is different level to me, brilliant… the main character is Di Ray Lennox a troubled detective played brilliantly by Dougray Scott ( very apt as it’s based in Edinburgh). If you’ve not seen the first series you honestly must as this is a bit of a follow on. Joanna vanderham plays his partner, I must say she really does give me the hots, I find her very sexy but also a good detective ( don’t want to sound sexist lol ) any way highly recommend purely for the excellent acting, whistle whistle…..
