If you have got SKY Max a series made by those involved in The Wire called We Own This City is well worth a watch.
It's certainly well reviewed. https://amp.theguardian.com/tv-and-...immaculate-a-piece-of-tv-as-you-will-ever-see I'll be giving it a go.
It used to be my favourite show - I actually rewatched all 8 series at the start of this year. Some of the series do start a little slower, but normally due it being set in a new location, or characters have a new assignment - so builds into the series and always ends well
The daughters not seen the hunger games its a real struggle having to watch that bloody Jennifer Lawrence again!! But I’m a good dad whose willing to sit through all of the films
This series Hijack with idris Elba is really ****ing good, just watched episode 5, some real twists and turns… 10 out of 10 for me Jim lol
I've been uncertain whether to add it my list of stuff to watch. Premise sounds dull, but not seen a bad comment about it . Having said that everyone was all over Happy Valley and that was total bab.
Watched God Is A Bullet yesterday. Cops daughter gets kidnapped by satanic cult…he teams up with ex junkie ex cult member to find her. Sort of enjoyed it I think, but I’m not convinced at all that it’s based on a true story. Maybe different small stories massively fleshed out. Gets a bit stupid towards the end in terms of how great a shot the good guys are and how superbly **** the bad guys are. Some good moments though
You will not be disappointed, my first thoughts were 7 episodes of a hijack goons be over in 2, how wrong I was.
Watched the first two episodes of The Sixth Commandment and realised again what a superb actor Timothy Spall is.
His is truly an astonishing performance. If being convincing enough that I constantly want to punch him in the face constitutes good acting then Éanna Hardwicke's knocking it out of the park anarl.
I watched Bastille Day (aka The Take) and The Commuter on Netflix recently. Neither are brilliant but engaging enough for 90 mins or so.
