Nah mate, you've got the wrong series. The River on Netflix starring Stellan Skarsgard and Nicola Walker was a British police procedural series, I thought it was pretty good. There was a completely different US series (supernatural horror) by the same name which is what you are on about.
The Overlap on Tour Roy Keane carragher and Neville 4 part series Watched the first one Excellent best laugh I’ve had in ages
Watched 2 parts of a 3 part series called “ Crossfire “ last night. Each episode is about an hour long, before it started I said to my mrs not keen on this, didn’t think it was something I’d watch, got that totally wrong. I actually enjoyed it, think it’s based on the shooting of holidaymakers at a hotel resort, Tunisia or somewhere like that, but these speak in Spanish so I’m assuming it’s a remote hotel in Spain. Flits back and forth past to the present not something I normally like but it does it quite well so as not to confuse you. Last episode tonight, not sure what to watch for the other 2 hours before bedtime lol. Anyway think it’s not a bad 3 hours used…
It is a hotel in the Canary Islands. Don’t know if they specified which one. Most things with Keeley Hawes in are normally pretty decent.
Beau is Afraid.............three hours of ??????????????????????????????? My two neurons are crispy fried after this one. I am trying to come to grips with what I just watched. A kafkaesque black comedy or are we in Freudian Oedipal country? Viewed it on lookmovie2 To give you an idea on what someone thought of it, here is a quote from The Independent: "It’s as memorable, audacious, and indulgent as you’d hope from A24’s most expensive film to date – and from a release that, according to a viral tweet last month, reportedly left one American cinemagoer so enraged that he stood up during the end credits and bellowed, “I better not hear a single person f***ing clap”.
Watched “ the family “ again last night, just absolutely love Rob De Niro films. Tonight it’s “ About my father “ apt as it’s daddies day Looks very funny….
Just watched on Netflix The Defeated, not a bad watch, a rather unusual story of the immediate aftermath of WW2 in Berlin.
Started watching McDonald and dodds Really like this, Jason Watkins for me is a superb actor, excellent in everything he stars in. There is 3 seasons, each episode is about 2 hours long so no watching multiple episodes to find out the killer. There is a 4th season being made as we speak. Well worth a watch in my humble opinion.
Agree. Watkins is very good. Really enjoyed it. My wife didn’t like it which is always a good recommendation.
Mine loved it but falls asleep half an hour before each episode finished??? Then asked me the ending the next day. She is such a weak link..
Yes, I visited Berlin also a few times, and 3 times in the East. A stark difference between the 2 back in the eighties.
Just watched 2 of the first 3 episodes of Hijack with idris Elba, I think it’s brilliant, very clever man idris plays. 1 more tomorrow night then wait until the next episode is out, highly recommended..
Watching Nasser Hussains documentary on sky, Secrets of Success. It’s basically about leadership and management in elite sport. We know Nasser is very passionate about this area, so is a fascinating insight. Good watch.
