If you fancy a totally left field watch the Pez Outlaw on Netflix is very watchable.
Story of a bloke who was travelling to Eastern Europe in the 90’s to buy rare Pez dispensers and sell them back in the US.
    Bizarre

I just re-watch True Detective & Mindhunter as rest of it is just garbage.
**** on TV nowadays is like asking someone who loves Hendrix to listen to Taylor Swift what’s the point.

Same opinion. I struggle to watch 99% of anything new and enjoy it - probably about 5 films in the last 15 years that I've actually watched through to the end and I don't like series as don't like giving up so many hours of my time to watch them. I think something inside of me has broken when it comes to accepting new entertainment - I can't think of any music released in the last 20 years that I listen to either. I guess it's middle aged male syndrome.

    There's probably 150 films/programs that I'm happy to watch once a year and that's my TV entertainment sorted for life, so actually wouldn't be that upset if they halted making all new TV and films as of today ;

I know and have my opinion because I have a wife and three children (from late teens to mid twenties) who, for some reason, still try to encourage me to watch films and series with them - perhaps it's a joke with them to see how long I'll last.

Generally, I can handle half an hour before, if the weather's good, I'd rather be on the terrace smoking a cigar, inspecting the lawn and throwing the dog a stick. I don't have this problem with books, food or visiting new places... or reading here, clearly.

Heat, the French Connection and the Godfather are good films on Netflix.

Watched the latest John Wick film recently, to say it's far fetched is like saying the nearest star, after the sun, is just around the corner. If it's ever up for an award, no way, it'll be in the comedy section. :emoticon-0143-smirk

It's not made by Netflix, so not their decision to cancel it, it was ABC's and this is the reason...

The thriller series debuted back in the February with a pair of episodes. The first hour attracted a 2.6 in the coveted 18-49 demographic with 8.35 million total viewers. By the second hour, 12% of the audience had bailed and the numbers dropped to a 2.3 rating with 6.83 million.

The ratings have been dropping ever since. Last week’s episode drew just a 1.3 rating in the demo with 4.09 million total viewers. Averaging a 1.67 demo and 4.82 million, The River is the lowest-rated drama on the network and has fallen even lower than sure-to-be-cancelled Pan Am. On our network report card, which compares ABC TV show demo ratings, The River gets a “D.”

With ratings like these, there’s just no chance that the alphabet network will order any more installments.

Has anyone else watched any of the Rotten series?

It's an investigative documentary series focusing on corruption in the global food supply chain. Each episode is about a different food and there's twelve of them so far. It covers everything from bottled water, to avocado's to chocolate, to peanuts.

It's quite enlightening, the honey one particularly, as there's actually far more honey sold in the world every year, than is produced (basically, much of the honey sold internationally isn't actually honey, it's fake). It's like the cocaine business, the Chinese take the good stuff and dilute it with cheap rice syrup and go to extraordinary lengths to conceal that they've done it, often shipping it all over the place just to try and hide the fact it's Chinese.

Some episodes are more interesting and shocking than others, but they're all quite interesting.

Honestly there no accounting for taste
I watch a lot of those types of crime dramas
most are just a rehash of each other, having way to many similarities and storylines but
in my opinion I thought “ River “ was
a cracking watch, Completely different to all
the others with some really good twists,
the talking to dead people I thought was brilliant.
I must admit though I worked out the killer well before the end of the first episode.
