A little more background. My ex-boss' wife is of Sicilian heritage, born in Boston, Mass. She talked about the Montelbano books and mentioned there was a TV seies in the offing way back when. Their author passed away aged 94 about 3 or 4 years ago. Prolific and well loved in Italy. RIP Andrea Camilleri. https://www.panmacmillan.com/blogs/crime-thriller/inspector-montalbano-series-in-order-camilleri
One will have people sat around on a night. The other won’t. Those pretty water displays aren’t on at the moment, are they?
I’m sure I read that they will be switched back on soon probably when the bogs reopen, cos if you watch the fountains, it makes you want to pee.
Started on the BBCs 'the Gold' about thr 1983 brinks-mat robbery. Only a couple of episodes in but seems good/worth a watch.
Downloaded Carnival Row Series 1 as it sounded half interesting and a bit short of things to watch, although Last of Us latest episode appeared on my Plex for tonight Last night, caught up with a few episodes of Poker Face which is decent. Same actress as Russian Doll.
Finally finished a show that I've been meaning to watch for years and years - The Prisoner. Fantastic show.
Not Neflix or a box set but is anybody else watching the last episodes of Endeavour? I think it's really brilliant and my money's on Joan to cop it next Sunday...
Australia's finest export that. And I don't care what the people say, they deffo were some genuine lookers in there.
I have preferred this show to the original Morse. In which, no mention at all of the Thursdays. Nor in the books. I think you are correct in someone copping it, though the who? Dunno.
Some of the worst acting you'll ever see and the only Australian TV we saw as kids (though it wasn't for kids, it was on late night TV).
Just kidding. Love The Prisoner. They were re-running it in the early 90s here, first episode I ever saw was "Many happy returns" - no dialogue for about 15 mins. Great intro to the series and quite an impression on a 14/15 year old me. Thing is, like great art does, it opened me up to the stuff that influenced McGoohan - mainly Kafka. Great formative experience for me.
Great episode. I think it tailed off towards the end where McGoohan admitted there was a bit of filler, but on the whole a really influential show.
