I'll give it a watch with a beer tonight. I've seen a low budget type film of the same name a few years ago .
It wasn’t a low budget film. It will have cost a lot by the standards of the time. It was a 1930 film regarded as a classic made only two years after talkies started. It won 2 Oscars including best film.
Beat me to it whilst I was typing. It was a very advanced film by the standards of the day. It was only 2 years since Al Jolson had first spoke on a film.
I watched the recent one on Netflix, and as someone who generally doesn't enjoy TV or film, I thought it was very good and moving.
Likewise. Not Scandi but City On A Hill a cop series set in Boston the 1970s on SKY Atlantic is worth a watch.
I'll give that a go . Still working through Babylon Berlin . Excellent massive budget series worth watching
Snabba Cash on Netflix is worth a watch. Over the top and gives the impression Stockholm Tiger is taking his life in his hands by simply going shopping going by the running gun battles in shopping malls and everywhere else but quite enjoyed it.
Amazing series. Currently watching another set in post war Berlin. The defeated. Worth a go when you find time.
I watched Three Day Millionaire this morning. If you take Trainspotting, remove all the great actors, remove the great soundtrack, move it from Edinburgh/London to Grimsby and replace the drugs with fish, you get Three Day Millionaire. It's a bit ****.
