I'm halfway into s2 now, it is good, quite hardcore I thought. Not too far-fetched, you can easily imagine that stuff happening just down the road.
I started watching Kill Thy Neighbour on Netflix this morning, each episode is a different murder in Britain, where the victim the was a friend/neighbour of the murderer. Episode three is the story of Libby Squire.
I watched the first episode and decided it was going to be pretty good; that being the case, I've left it until it's finished so I can binge watch it over a couple or three nights!
I watched You Don’t Know Me over the past couple of days, it’s basically four hours of a bloke defending himself in court over a murder charge. It’s fairly obvious who the murderer is before you get to the end and the ending itself is a little annoying, but it’s a decent watch overall.
It was a bit random, especially as the only link at the time was a brief one-liner mentioning them in advance, but in general I'm warming to the series now. I tried watching the first episode of Happy Valley but gave it up 40 mins in. Not for me. Seemed a bit Emmerdale. Might try it again if nothing else is on at some point. My lad loves it, but then he watches Love Island too so his taste is a little suspect.
Episode 4 gets back on track after the Brokeback Mountain interlude, New Order bonus track at the end.
Just ready to start series 3 of Happy Valley (tomorrow) Thanks to those who recommended it, and explained it wasn’t a re run of Heart Beat. It’s very very good isn’t it !
If you haven’t seen it I would recommend Mare Of Easttown. I think the Americans got their basic premise for it from Happy Valley. It is very good and Kate Winslet shows acting abilities I didn’t know she possessed.
Ever thought of a career as a scriptwriter? No? Just as well. It really is very good and I would recommend it to anyone who hasn’t seen it.
