Just been reading about it, gets decent reviews but there's no indication it offers anything we don't already know. Tough watch.

Yes, just watched it, probably the best WW1 film so far, even better than 1917, it's excellent, unmissable, we will remember them.

1917 was excellent but I liked the one Peter Jackson did with enhanced contemporary footage even more. Tugs the heart strings and really showed what a feral existence it was in the trenches.

When they colourised that Peter Jackson one the soldiers looked as modern as lads nowadays , but in b&w they didn’t really .

Well, I've read and watched a lot of stuff about WW1 over the years and I've got to the point where I don't think I need to be reminded of how hideous it was. I know if I did watch I'd go to bed feeling angry, depressed and generally miserable but also no more enlightened than I was (or wasn't) before. Some of the reviews I've read suggest it's all of the horrors that we are familiar with but more graphic and with higher quality cinematography. No thanks.

    I started watching a series called “ Crime “
It’s based in Edinburgh, 6 episodes I have 1 and a bit left. Really enjoying it but make sure you have the subtitles on as most have a very thick Scottish accent. Well worth a watch if you like police dramas bit of a twist as the lead character is both a drunk and a druggy but played fantastically well by Dugray scott.. Ken stott is also in it, anything he does is usually great…

Finished watching Better Call Saul this morning, it's a brilliant series, but I thought it was a bit of a flat ending.
