It's his own legend I'm talking about Nines. He's done a great job, his reputation as a football manager is in tact and he'll be offered plenty of work on the back of it.

If he keeps chatting it'll be interpreted as bitterness. It'll spoil things for him. I'd rather he keeps his head held high without getting into all that. That's all.

I think he'll be OK. I don't think too many will see it as bitterness in a negative way - he's 63 years old and laying it out! And, as he himself said, he's almost a pensioner. I think he'll be allowed to say all he wants. He even said earlier that he's OK if that was his last managing gig, and by the sounds of it, he's basically come to that conclusion for himself. May be somebody will offer him a job somewhere, but I don't think he'll take it.

I'm definitely OK with him telling it all. I would love to know from the horses mouth. And he's great to listen to.

Brix - i enjoyed reading your comment. It would have been very interesting to see what would have happened IF NW had either walked the moment tango walked back in, OR, ater the opening 4 nil defeat. Would MH have been "available" then to take ove?

Someone once mentioned on here that TF is protecting his investment in QPR FC which is another reason why NW was sacked, however, NW does make a very good point in that usually the man in charge does the hiring and firing. As far as NW's lack of IT skills - at 63 years of age, does he realy need them? Or could not the club have treied to get in another coach / adviser / behind the scenes person with premier leaue experience?

Anyways, whlst I will always be grateful for the work NW did in a very short space of time, we now have someone else in charge. Maybe NW should have got an agent - maybe that would have made a difference - end of the day, NW has left some foundations in place on which MH can start to build. Players will come and go, but as long as they are replaced with younger, hungrier and better than our future looks bright. When the history book of QPR eventually gets updated all the good work NW and his team did will reflect this. At the moment, the bitterness is there as it usually is in any break up situation and there will always be two sides.

Lets hope that after a decent performance against the Goerdies, a win against franchise, and can get a home win in the premier league this weekend.

Like most things it will all come out in the wash but, sadly, that might not be until after we have been relegated. Without anyone looking like showing ANY form of leadership or ownership of a set of cojones we are facing a downward and out of control spiral back to the Championship.

Who would be surprised if it turns out Barton was dumped on Warnock during the last week scramble for signings after TF took over? Warnock had to make all the right noises regarding Barton but in his BBC interview he'd mentioned the change in team spirit this season when compared to the Championship winning team he'd got promoted.

I never wanted Warnock in charge and I haven't shed any tears since he has gone but the man does have a point. Unless we get shot of Barton or Sparky can stop his negative influence on the rest of the team we are not going to stay up and we won't deserve to stay up either. Looking at the run in to the end of the season we might be able to reach 40 points or there abouts but that might not be enough.

Warnock mentioned being slowly poisoned but how he was sacked looks more like being stabbed in the back.

Yes NW had to put up with a lot when the Goons were in charge, but not even close to his predecessors.

    David McIntyre:

"would like to see Warnock try to tell Waddock, Dowie, Sousa, Magilton & Hart about what he had to put up with at QPR. Absolutely laughable."
Q: think we saw that in the four year plan didn't we? David McIntyre: "saw what? that he had it relatively easy?"
"put up with what? Spent loads of money on the team of his choice and had a free rein."
"while spending a fortune and managing in totally different climate to his predecessors."
"I would strongly disagree about him being better than all them but appreciate QPR fans would never accept that."
"all about timing. He came at a time they had no option but to step back & throw more money at it. So he was able to look good."
"you cant sign everyone mate (Morrison & Graham). their (Norwich & Swansea) summer didnt involve signing 3 England internationals though."
"facts dont support theory he didnt spend money & worked miracles. He's a good manager & did good job but was also v fortunate"
"yes, v experienced manager which is why he made some key decisions but also why he was able to give a PR masterclass.Gift of gab"
"shows how fickle game is. Few weeks ago he was a hero- undeserved in my view. Then a bad run & he's sacked - just as undeserved"
"he did a good job, its idea he did it against the odds I take issue with. He had a plum job & followed others who had awful time"
"By the way as much as I take issue with NW's spin on things his point about underlying issue being the owners' lack of knowledge is correct."
"ha ha. No I think he can be proud of the job he did & shouldnt have been sacked. But the martyr thing isnt justified."
"the crucial difference is that this lot mean well, which means they can learn & improve. Briatore was different in that sense."
"only on Planet QPR could it be seen as tight. An absolute fortune was spent over 4 years - including last year."
"how many other Champ clubs signed a 750k keeper and had two £1m forwards on bench for when their 500k forward sadly broke his leg?"
"plus there was transfer fee for Taarabt. And thats only the transfer fees not overall spending."

Don't necessarily agree with everything. But I respect Dave's views and judgement as he's been close to the club for years and knows more than any of us of the coming and goings at the club. (except you of course CernyBerny ;) )

Nice one Ninj. Couple of responses to your equally interesting points.

If NW had resigned in the wake of the Briatore humiliation or post Bolton, no doubt we'd have ended up with a half dead Italian manager like Lippi or someone - certainly wouldn't have been Hughes.

Having read lots of thises and thats, I've come to the conclusion that the straw that broke the camel's back was the state we were in just prior to, during and as a result of the MKD game. A kneejerk by the shareholders behind TF. Whilst fans on here reported the poor morale of the team at MKD, I think judging by the quality of their side at LR, we actually had a right result in both matches. MKD easily top half Championship standard imho!

Despite going off the boil post Briatore (who wouldn't?!), there is absolutely no doubt about the debt of gratitude owed to Neil Warnock in single-handedly heaving us on to the world football map. The man's a total QPR legend and one of just a handful of gaffers in our 125 year history to have won anything of significance.

As for NW's hi-tech abilities, Queenslander makes a very astute point above. If we were on the ascendency at this point, hi-tech wouldn't be an issue.

Agree with you (and Roller) about our need for young and hungry (no not Luke and Buz!). Extremely concerned about our average age being 29 plus. Just shows how much the Goons didn't do for us academy-wise.

Whilst NW has provided the prem platform, we've clearly got our work cut out to produce the quality needed to retain our new found status. Clearly not as simple as loadsamoney in this window. So many agendas to sort out... fingers crossed eh?

to Neil Warnock in single-handedly heaving us on to the world football map.

I would give him massive credit for building the team but also say that the team grew in spirit and stature having had a great start.
I think that he mucked up things a lot in this league and showed his limitations. The board had no choice and i support that.
I am also of the opinion that we have played some very good football in this division and have no doubts at all that we will finish higher up the league than most think . I also have to say that tbh I grew severe doubts about NW and the way the season panned out and that is hard for me to admit and it was really looking good at one point.
