He certainly likes a challenge! I wish him all the luck in the world (except when they're playing us of course)
Just show's that all those saying he couldn't have taken the job with us because of his wife might not have been right after all
He has a long record of being economical with the truth, but I hope this means either his wife was never seriously ill or her treatment has gone well.
Just shows not a lot. You are assuming a huge amount in terms of discussions between QPR and Warnock, the state of his wife health now and then, and what SLF/Hoos/TF wanted as a manager going forward. Personally I am delighted that Warnock didn't get manager for the rest of season, as I feel we are in a much better position going forward with JFH.
Fair play to and good luck Neil, also I hope his wife is in good/better health. I will put my hands up and admit I really do know FA! I was sulking about our pursuit of Jimmy and wanted Neil to stay on as I felt underwhelmed about Hasselbaink's experience at this level. Well I'm beginning to feel whelmed now as things on the pitch seem to be finally improving. We move forward and in time hopefully upward
I never read one quote from Colin that his wife was seriously ill, but loads of people on here gravely insisting she was, on the back of missing a game for personal reasons. Maybe they were ITK or drama queens, no idea. But hope if she were sick she is well on the mend, and all the best for Colin at Rotherham, as long as saving them don't get us relegated.
I wish Neil all the very best with his appointment and thank him once again for his short but valued stay with us, late last year. Nothing else matters really.
Good luck to him, he should be just the right man to keep them up. There was a statistic on radio the other day that suggested managers who have immediate success with a club, that is a higher win to loss ratio in the first three months usually fail within a year or so. Those who have the higher loss to win ratio in their first three months, if they survive that period, are often more successful so JFH may be showing a slow start is actually no bad thing...
Good luck to him. Must admit I never heard or read any direct quotes from NW other than that he wasn't interested in a full time management position, and now look where he is. it's generous to suggest Neil is known for being economical with the truth, he outright lies much of the time. Still he is one of the game's few remaining characters and should always have a place in our hearts. I am glad we are where we are manager-wise though.
It's all my fault for today's result for posting about improvements on the pitch, blame me..... Sorry! See, it rubber stamps that I realy do know fa....
