Some of the guys on FF are ******s, bigots or teenagers or sometimes a combo of all 3. Unfortunately these type of Caledonian rednecks can also been seen on a few other fan forums, clubs all over Scotland have these screaming nomarks venting their collective spleens at every club. The bigger the club the more there tend to be. I laugh at them.
Yeah, most morons do, usually because they went to a non denom school and are therefore happy to blame Religious Schools for bigotry. How does that explain people like you?
Frankly, we're all a bit surprised you even attended school. Judging by your endless bigotry I presumed you'd been taught at home by your parents Mr and Mrs Billy Bigot. The fact that you're a product of the Scottish education system is an embarrassment to our country as a whole.
I'm surprised you went to school at all Girvan. You make a fair show at hiding that fact. or was it a case of you were registered - just didnt manage to make it in?
In a way, I agree ... I don't believe in "faith" schools of any sort and I think it's time for all schools to become non-demoninational. I don't believe there is scope for any religion to be taught to our kids at School... religious teaching should be kept at home and in places of worship!
What about them ?.. There is only one faith school...catholic. All the rest are "non denominational".
I went to a Christian Brothers Primary school and a grammar school run by priests. I am sending my own kids to non denominational, mixed schools. I got a good education but it was restricted. First of all, more than anything else, there were no female students in my schools - I mean come on we have to live the rest of our lives with females at home and in work, why not in school? Second the amount of **** religious studies I had to learn. I knew it was all bullshit, everyone knew it was bullshit - I was taking triple award GCSE Science in which some very intelligent teachers were completely disproving the Religious class I had to take straight after. I've a GCSE in feckin religious studies, what a complete waste of 3 periods a week. Thirdly society doesn't need partitioned like this. It's not just a Catholic thing, at least not in the north of Ireland. The Presbyterians are at it too and there are some decidedly Unionist curriculums in some of the non religious Unionist schools (my Protestant missus and I were teenage sweethearts, I read her version of Irish history books - my kids won't be going to that school). Schools that consist mostly from any single community need to be disbanded or integrated - it's one of the single biggest reasons that society is divided. My politics also stipulate this, the United Irishmen were secular and the true Republic was intended to be secular. The less influence the church has the better.
I agree with you Mick, i'm not for schools being responsible for RE either but the system is what it is at present, however what fools like Girvan and others are suggesting is that somehow "only" RC schools alone are responsible for bigotry. He and his fellow braindeads have yet to explain Protestant bigots. Or are they like Unicorns in his little world?
