    Harris was a great servant for you boys and I'm sure he would've preferred to have stayed.

    However, the security of a 3 year contract that'll take him through to the ripe old age of 36 was too good an offer for him to turn down.

    A true legend and with a 3 year contract on offer I completely understand his move to Southend. He wants to end his career playing rather than being a part time player and no doubt he will return as a coach or future manager for us at some point.

    Contrast with Morison who will be forgotten in a few seasons.......

    I suspect KJ will get at least 2 new strikers in, probably 3 and still have £1m left over from the Moro sale to get cover for other positions <ok>

    KJ has pressure now to sign some very good players - no need to rush but hope we don't have the Charlie Austin (who?) debacle at the last week before the season starts.

    "I have always said to my boy that you have to be respectful to the team I play for so I've always said he couldn't have a Southend shirt whilst I was at Millwall. "I've talked him out of it but when I told him I was coming today to sign the first thing he said was 'can I have a kit' - I said of course he could.
    "Would I have gone anywhere else? No, I don't think so. It is a lifelong dream to play here."

    gotta admit i was a bit surprised that 'Arris has done one to mighty Sarfend, and i didn't realise we tried to get him, i must have been out of the country or on a bender, he's not a very bright lad then?
