hurr durr ... its not the dog its the owners ffs what kind of person leaves kids unattended with any dog not just the so called ''dangerous dogs''. Youve got a toddler or a young child swinging out of a dog and the dogs natural instinct is to snap. Mind you don't get just plain bad dogs you get badly trained/socialised dogs which again is down to the human in the relationship.
Il give a few local dog shelters a ring, and see if they have anything if interest. I suppose a puppy would be alot of hard work. I never really thought of a staffy, but I suppose they are pretty intimidating despite being small
From experience, i would say a Doberman, They are fantastic around kids, loyal beyond belief (often putting their own lives at risk to protect), and they also have agility that a lot of the other mutts mentioned would lack, (Brian Griffin excluded of course). The females are a lot more docile than the males, but equally protective. Plus they are a bloody good looking dog, Mind if i had more time i could have found a photie of one without a sore on it's leg. please log in to view this image
They are handsome looking dogs. My favourite dogs have always been greyhounds, and Dobermans remind me of a stockier, stronger looking Greyhound
I never understand why they have there ears stuck up like devils horns. Why would you do that to your dog?
http://www.standard.co.uk/news/crim...ondons-council-flats-and-garages-8520425.html Just come down to The Smoke and you can buy a pit bull bred and raised to be an utter **** of a dog. Shoot the dogs and then pop a cap in the ass of the owner, so to speak. The same sort of trash who have these are the same ****ers who let their dogs attack other mutts in the park and don't pick up the dog **** left behind. You can usually spot the owner of one of these dogs in the park, he's the twat dressed in a track suit the other end of the park not giving a flying ****. Too busy on his i-Phone (the choice of the discerning chav) sorting out another drug deal. Other opinions are available.
Heard them talking last week about reversing the ban in Scotland on docking dog's tails. Think it's just for working dogs though. Still be illegal to dock the tail of a family pet. Gambol's Interesting News #236
This is our new guard dog Annie. She is a 14 month old Doberman and pretty well trained and obiediant, ive already had her down the park and off the lead, and she comes back even though shes only known me a few days. We paid 500 for her, from an american family who's other dog couldnt get along with her. Shes pretty well bred, 3 of her grand parents are champion dogs. Shes big enough to scare off any potential intruders without being to intimidating for visitors. We decided agaisnst a puppie in the end, as we realised there would be alot of hard work involved
Any burglar rapist or other home invader will have no probem killing your dog.. No poisoned sausages, just a few hacks with a machete or a few iron bar blows will render any dog dead..... If you buy an expensive dog people just steal them to order...
I have read up on this a fair bit, and there is no way you could guarentee stopping my dog even with a knife. Dobermans have been specifically bred to protect. So are very fast, powerful and most importantly intelligent dogs. Most guard type breeds including Doberman are intelligent enough to go for the arm with the weapon. You could possibly get lucky and stab the dog, though you are going to be severely ****ed up before the dog finally bleeds to death. I'd be amazed if you were still alive personally. If you had a bat or a metal pipe, or any other blunt object you would have no chance whatsoever of stopping my dog. You might get 1 hit in, if you were very lucky but after that you would be pinned to the floor screaming for your life
Give me your postcode and i ll pop it in the SATNAV , iron bar or machete/Gurka knife? Lets make a game of it...
Would love to, if I knew my dog wouldn't be put to sleep for ripping you limb from limb! But in all seriousness though, no man is going to stop a big dog like mine even with a weapon. These dogs have been bred to protect, and are no joke
