Got the dog out again today for a decent walk, even though it was cold, windy and damp. Normally there's a lot more folk about, went to the supermarket which is still well stocked apart from toilet roll and soaps/sanitisers of course, but I was there mainly for fresh stuff and bought a few more 'longer life' items. The wife made me stop on the way home as she'd heard on Facebook that they still had loo roll at this place. Thank goodness there's a well-connected group of people out there who share a 21st century wifi assisted mutual concern for our ar$es As I pulled the car back at home, my elderly 70ish neighbour scurried off into his private shelter "You OK there John!? -I'm not sure he heard me, normally I can hardly get rid the auld bugger - it feels a bit like a zombie apocalypse out there and I'm staying in now with the door shut
get yourself a jigsaw ! i will be out with my metal detector once the wind and rain ease off, going down to the coast with me massive bino's i can see Hartlepool docks with them, or i could get my massive hammer/amicus film collection out about 60 and watch a few.
Managed to watch some footy yesterday. Went to Eppleton to watch Sunderland Lasses hump Stoke 4-2 to go 11 points clear at the top of the table, with a game in hand. Very pleasant afternoon, until I discovered that my mobile phone must've fallen out of my pocket. Raced back to the ground, but it was all locked up. Blocked the SIM online last night. Went back this morning to discover that the phone is on the ground next to where I was sitting - Phew!! Unblocked the SIM and all is rosy in the garden. Haway The Lasses!
My neighbour puts their dog in the car drives to the park walks the dog around the park then drives back. The park is easily within walking distance.
