According to this we did have a blue shirt just after the war for a whole season. please log in to view this image
I just find it funny that some people think that Assem Allam has more rights than previous people who have saved the club. Especially those supporters that saved it when nobody else was interested we were on the verge of extinction or relegation out of the football league. Sky/BT pay the piper and call the tune. Seems they don't want their product sullied by American sounding team names that could change every few years depending on the whims of the current owner.
you silly man. i'll ignore most of the rubbish. qpr abbreviated to qpr means hull city tigers would become htc. like west ham united are always whu, like preston are always pne, like brighton are always baha.
Many teams had blue kits immediately after the war, it was the only dye colour that was readily available.
Interesting fact. It must have hard for the refs to distinguish the teams. I just had a look at City's history page on Wikipedia. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_Hull_City_A.F.C.#Post-War I think it leaves something to be desired. The word Needler doesn't appear anywhere.
