The beach is right over the road from where I am today. Nice, but not swimming weather. How's Kentucky?
Well, here it's called Tapas, TMT. there are several tapas I love. Mezes or Mezzes are Turkish, or Greek mainly.
Talking about beaches.I took a cheap trip to Loret del Mar (?) on the Costa Brava a long time ago,in November.Nothing but "English pubs" selling horrible beer and German tourists. But they did take me on a tour of the Barcelona Stadium and a wine trip to this place that had men on horse back trying to knock each off their horses.Touch of Ivanhoe,I thought! Needless to say I got steaming drunk and woke up on a setee in the hotel lobby! The flight in nearly gave everyone heartattacks.Over the mountains that plane did half a dozen handstands.I kid you not.I was scared to death! The hotel was full of English pentioners.Apparently it was cheaper to stay there than at home in England during the winter months.Warmer too. They were having the time of their lives boozing, bingo and dancing among other things. Good luck,I thought!
Hope everyone had a good one. Let's hope Spurs can get some decent points over the festive period. Tbh i'd happily take 4 points from our next three games.
If that's what you're after, I'd suggest Benidorm. Personally, I can't stand the place, it makes me embarrassed to be English. I'm way further South, in a place called Mojacar.
Giroud sent off for a head butt with Arsenal up 1-0 and cruising. No question about the sending off. Giroud appeared to have lost his mind due to a push. ..and Arsenal score a second. Very poor from QPR, who have never looked interested in scoring a goal. QPR wrongly denied a last minute pen down 2-1. What a surprise. No doubt about the penalty. If you want a beach in the winter in the US, go to Miami or the Florida Keys. Throughout the winter it's perfectly good lying on the beach weather. Even northern Florida is hit and miss (and Kentucky is about what England is). The other point about Miami is that South Beach is the best beach in the country. Miami is excessively turquoise and lime green, and has other annoying ticks, but staying in a hotel on South Beach is as close to what I want in a week on the beach in the winter as I've found. Everything very pleasant, lots of good restaurants, somewhat expensive but worth it for a short trip, all things considered and depending on your budget.
Remember, remember, the fifth of November ...especially the ****ers down the road from me who were setting the bloody things off last Friday!
