Necessary?

Please accept this as my final post on these forums. I usually enjoy the banter and general discussion difference in opinion brings out, but the past week or so has been unbearable on here.

On a football note I am a big believer that changing manager now would be daft given we are 6 games in, and a new manager will be left with this squad until January. Fair enough if we are struggling at Christmas then look to change it.

Now don't get me wrong. I can see where the Bruce Out demanders are coming from. You are entitled to your opinion and it does have a lot of valid points.

However, I thought we were all better than going down the route of the personal insults towards Bruce. I don't care if a manager is fat, what colour they are, what they do behind closed doors etc, I just want them to do their best. The personal abuse on here directed towards Bruce is wholly unnecessary and in all honesty disgusting. Sing Bruce out all you like, but keep it football related.

I cant bear any more of it so farewell to all the reasonable posters (BIBS and BOBS). Good luck dealing with the numpties!

No bother mate, as mentioned previously hope you reconsider. A decent run of results, maybe the mood lifts and we can all go back to a harmoneous discussion board........ unlikely but u never know!
 
Sorry to hear that tractor but I can understand why. I have had a few PM's from people saying the same thing. Take a break, keep reading and who knows, we may even find a way of giving strong opinions without insulting everyone.

I'm guilty of it and I am now staying clear and simply ignoring. I have all ready given up mod duties on here, BB, Dorset and commo do it now.
 
I will pop back in a few weeks to see if it has cheered up a bit!

I just keep thinking back to growing up going to Roker Park, turning up every week not with an expectation of winning, but of having a good day out supporting the team we loved.

Yes we got upset and booed when it went badly, but we still went every week and enjoyed it! Things have moved on but looking around and people just dont enjoy themselves, if we dont win they have an awful day, it wasnt the case when I was growing up, we enjoyed the day win lose or draw.

I just struggle to enjoy sitting around and talking with fans (the minority I know) who dont think about what they say, and just spout on about the scapegoat of the day.

Anyway, see you in a few weeks probably when I cant resist a post!

This is true, and it's a sad day for this board that these things are happening, so a message to you Tractor, don't be hasty, stick with it, trying to get it sorted...

In the meantime, if anyone has suggestions on how things should, or they would like to see things happen, let us know, as it's getting crazy at the moment.
