Indeed. If you believe Jesus Christ is the Lord with magic powers sufficient enough to influence the outcome of the game, then why would he choose one team to win rather than the other?
Failed owners are behind moves. It's like the Allams coming out and saying 'we couldn't make football a success in Hull so we'll move the club elsewhere', that would be the equivalent. And if they could they probably would just like the bad US owners. Blaming lack of success on supporters is the standard tactic for people like that. I know the Superbowl is the showpiece of the sport and people will want to talk it up, but the NFL has been losing interest in the US if anything.
Just got up out of the pit, after watching the full Monty up to 3.50am. That was some game....probably the best game of Gridiron I've ever seen. Loads of US razzmatazz and bollox as you would expect. I had a feeling the Eagles would do it, but the Pats did come close to pulling it out of the fire.
Me too, just waking up. A Premier Inn hotel room in St. Albans was bearable due to the result. Eagles did it* with a British running back as well. *well one of their running backs committee is British.
