The Dame? It's too early to tell, he's a big lanky **** though, hope he can bash some **** out of some centre halves & give them summat to think about. Sorry to now stray off topic but some things need highlighting. Bam Bam you have four posts to your name, the negative one one above whining about Bob being negative & these other three. You're hardly Mr ****ing Positive yourself are you? Do you say anything positive about anything? Trophy' Signings "Looking back we probably had the worst summer signings for one reason or another in the league; Long term injuries to;- Diame - Robertson - Snodgrass Uninspiring form from; - Ben Arfa - Ramirez - Ince - Hernandez Even the Dawson signing has had an adverse affect on us and Robertson has been inconsistent." Post by: Bigelow, Monday at 10:27 PM in forum: Hull City Transfer Rumours Hull City Winter Transfers Thread "I just don't understand the Ince situation at all. We have a wafer thin squad, massive injuries and a poor attacking options. Surely having him around for the numbers would have made sense with the position we are in. You can say he had no impact with us and the team he has played at but he has not been given enough consistent game time to build up his fitness and confidence. So why are some of our other players who have been just as ineffective not been disregarded." Post by: Bigelow, Monday at 7:14 PM in forum: Hull City Is it time for Steve Bruce to leave the club? "My problems with Steve Bruce; - Quite often seem tactically inept and fails to have a plan B. - Consistently sticks with the same failing tactics that don't work. - His pre/post match interviews are like groundhog day - always the same with usually the same outcome. - Some of his dealings in the transfer market are frantic and lack purpose or common sense. - Signed a hot prospect of Tom Ince and has rarely given the kid a chance to build up some game time and confidence. (Rumoured to be selling him already) - Built up a great team chemistry only to seemingly destroy it again. - Insists on either long oof ball up front or running down the wing and putting in a cross to nobody. - Tactical substitutions are poor. - Usually overspends in the transfer market. - Gets to a point where he seems resigned to defeat, much akin to sinking ship. Post by: Bigelow, Monday at 2:14 PM in forum: Hull City" Just saying?.
Rubbish. He was invisible except for the final 15 minutes! Didn't slide in on Hart, didn't provide an assist for Quinn or hit the onion bag himself, couldn't limbo under Kompany's arm, Parisian food doesn't agree with him. Was hoping for so much more. Hat-trick against Villa and I might re-evaluate my opinion.
Obviously too early. We didn't get a cross in while he was on, which is apparently his strength. He did look a bit lazy, but let's wait and see.
He wore gloves in Moscow games, but there's one thing about that. When you look through the pictures of him on Google he either doesn't wear gloves, or he has long sleeves on (either the shirt or a short sleeved shirt with long sleeved under armour on). There doesn't seem to a be a single one of him in just short sleeves and gloves, which makes it perfectly acceptable to be wearing them.
Given his ratio he should have scored at least 4 today, he's a striker. On that basis and the roo-ometer - he's ****.
Fell over a bit easy didn't he? Was there at the game and I agree it's too early to judge him overall but that did stick out how he kept going down.
one of the best teams in the world my arse! Chelsea are miles better so are Atletico, Barca, PSG, Real Madrid, Bayern and Bournemouth.. he didn't score so he's shyte
At least one of them it was the speed of the move from DND that made it look like he'd gone down easily when he'd actually been completely taken out of the game by the opponent. Right after he came on there was one in the centre circle where on the first view it looked like he'd just played the ball across the the path of a midfielder and then run into him for the freekick, but when you saw the replay you saw he'd played it across and tried to go after it but the midfielder had responded by stopping dead to body check him rather than just getting carried into him by momentum. (Fernandinho was it?)
How the hell can anybody judge a footballer on a few minutes play. I think Madge is 'having a lend' of us when he states "He runs like a footballer" so he'll be good. The first time he got the ball he fell down. I don't know how a footballer is supposed to run but Garincha (one of the all-time greats) had a right leg that curved outwards and a left leg, 3 inches shorter that curled inwards! The strangest looking 'run' for me was Caleb Folan who did a commendable impersonation of a Swiss Army Knife but could not get his right leg to go in the general direction of his left leg. I would think that he will get more 'minutes' against Villa and hopefully we might field a team containing at least 60% of our first team choices. Well done the lads especially the back three. We could have, and should have, won this game but it is consistent with our run of bad luck this season.
First passage of play was great, looked to push forward and turned inside and drew a foul. After that just went down way too easily time and again, which concerned me but really too early to judge since he's never even trained with the team. Give him a game or two to get his head in, and hopefully when Diame comes back they can link up together.
This thread reads more like a review of an 'effing Parisian fashion show or an analysis of a bloody skittles tournament !! It's obvious the poor lad was wearing carpet slippers without studs FFS. His luggage & boots got lost in transit.
