I think this is down to expectations. RvW and Hooper both found out how hard it is to score goals as the lone striker, just as Holty did the season previous (we probably had around the same number of goals from strikers in both years). I'd love to see RvW and Hooper tearing through Championship teams as a partnership supported by a really attacking midfield.
I would love RvW to get two double hattricks in the Old Farm Derby just to stuff their stupid appraisal of him down their over-sized gobs!
In 1997 we signed a striker who only scored 7 goals in his first season at Norwich, would you have got rid of him after his first season at Carrow Road? If you would have, then you would have got rid of one of City's greatest legends, as that striker was Iwan Roberts, who after a bad start to his City career went on to become a legend and hero with all City fans. Hopefully whoever the next NCFC manager is, they will keep RVW and help restore his confidence, as that is what I think is behind his lack of goals last season, CH drained his and several players confidences last season and we need the new manager to make the players believe in themselves and their abilities on the field.
Are they not a little high brow for you to be bringing them into things JWM. Its like a bucket of fish heads bringing Beethoven into conversation.
I think JWM will get a tad jealous if you start giving his stuff away. Just make sure your net is intact. We'll supply the rest of the entertainment
RvW provides great comedy entertainment. We shall look forward to a good laugh as he is the gift that keeps on giving!
