One figure ive seen quoted is £3mil... Alot for a player who has only 6 months on his contract remaining and plus we have already paid a loan fee etc.
Does anybody have an inking of what our wage structure really is? I would assume its fairly evened out unlike many clubs. It would be interesting to know the kind of money that would be available to get the kind of player that will "hit the ground running" as PL stated.
That he's been out on loan this season, as well as last, seems to suggest he's not happy to just pick up a pay slip. He could have stayed at Spurs, perhaps getting the odd appearence, and collecting his wage. Instead he's gone to other parts of the country to play first team football. It'd seem odd if he decided now that he's happy to play back up. £2 - £3 million would, in my view, be an excellent bit of business.
