So in the "worst 5 months" of our teams history" (fairly sure I could point to worse but that's not really what you want) we have got to two cup finals and so far won one and are still amazingly (if only just) in the top half of the table. (not boasting this fact just stating it)

Christ I can't wait until we have a GOOD 5 month run.

Oh & UIR be very careful you're 3 matches away from a trophyless season with a team everyone including us LFC supporters admit is substantially superior to ours this season.

The complaints on this board during this bad era of ours will tell you we agree with your own manager:

Second = also ran = failure. Those same teams we failed to beat in our "worst run" have possibly cost you your title....

I was referring to the league. Did I not mention it? Sorry if I didnt but I was referring to the league. Cups are a different kettle of fish and thats why in recent years some of the worst teams in the league have won cups ( not a dig, Pompy and Birmingham are awful ).

In terms of the league the last 5 months have been awful, only wolves have been worse I think but even then I could be wrong. Im assuming Wolves have been worse.

Plus talking about whats wrong at Liverpool is alot more sensible than pretending a cup final and a cup win makes up for it. You are kidding yourselves and you know it. You would give p both cups to be in Man Citys or Man Utds position.

UIR,if we ever start bragging about a Rumbelows Cup and top half finish that's when we'll be like Liverpool.

Most Liverpool fans count this season as a failure. The success in the cups just prevents it from being a truly awful season. They also saved Kennys job.

Again you're seeing what you want to see rather than reading what is being "discussed"

The threads on this board over this year should have made very clear to anyone visiting that we do not find our current performances acceptable and that we (actual LFC fans)HAVE been talking about it. We take a small amount of solace from our cup runs because the alternative could be that we performed like we have this year & won nothing: should we have hoped for that so we aren't called deluded?

So, you keep coming to our board and preaching to the converted until someone tells you to f*ck off. All so you can scurry away muttering deluded scousers.. Except we are, in reality not deluded but very aware of our current position. We may have different ideas about how it can be fixed but nobody is posting on here that everything is blissfully ok. To continue accusing us of this makes you a WUM.

We are able to not only separate but in fact be even more irritated by the fact we have performed in the cups while not in the league. Again you're in every thread and appear to have a grasp of the English language so you must have read this; repeatedly.

Would I prefer 2nd to 8th? That doesn't even need a response. But you failed to agree with my other assertion: 2nd is failure, out of Europe twice before even a sniff of a final; failure, out of both domestic cups before a sniff of a final; failure.

To bang the "you'd love 2nd place" drum (we've heard it in the guise of 3rd from the arsenal wums too) is a pathetic attempt to avoid admitting that your season by the standards both our clubs aspire to and demand will be a failure. It's not over yet & congratulations if you win the title but ........

Have Liverpool fans been wumming your board so much you felt compelled to return the favour?

We've had a few poor seasons now, it's not like we have just dropped out of the top 4. But look where you were last season, and the season before that (Championship), and the season(s) before that. Considering all of that you are now challenging for top 4 and I am genuinely pleased for Newcastle. Our owners have the ambition to try and get top 4, we may not get it next year or the year after that but Newcastle have showed me that it is possible so have your laugh and **** off. <ok>

Strange that you seem to agree with me saying most consider it a failure and the cups have only helped to gloss over that fact but yet still accuse me of being a wum.

I created a thread to have a laugh at your teams expense and vice versa for you lot in terms of United. Now and again I get into a disagreement with someone one here in other topics but we can put that down to seeing things differently as an outsider. Similar to how you just described Uniteds season potentially being a failure. You would be right if we finish 2nd of course. Had we had an FA Cup or League cup win and finished 2nd we would also consider it to be a failure as we did when we won the league cup a few seasons back and nothing else.

As I see it you are Liverpool and you shouldnt be sitting 8th in the table. The fact you are for me is a failure on Liverpools part. You are better than that.
 
So we are in agreement then? There will be no need for you UIR to repeat in any thread for the rest of this season that Liverpool have failed this season because as you have stated you know it & we all know it. So no need for further "discussion" around this theme then?

Because to just keep repeating that LFC have failed (in the league) on LFC threads when we've all accepted the premise would be oh, what would we call that....wumming?

I can guarantee that if you don't win the league I won't be on the united board posting "failure" for the same reason. Oh and the fact that I have absolutely no interest in commenting on another teams board outside of a match thread we are involved in but hey, that's a personal choice.
 
Oh and CofPL this entire discussion could be applied to you of course. While I actually hope you win the champions league for two reasons;

1) British club & it would p*ss off "how wonderful Barca" brigade

2) abramovich would have his trophy and wander off to find a new toy.

But if you don't win it? Is your season a success?(and that's even if you scrape into the top 4). If not, why would you think you are in any position to grade our season?

This is a thread on the Liverpool board, and most of the posts are by a Manc, a chav, and a Geordie. Says it all really. The spuds will be here soon crowing about how finishing 5th is an achievement.(after lowering their sights from 3rd, then 4th)
I actually hope Newcastle finish 4th, despite the twat posting on this thread.

I was just making a suggestion. Its a Liverpool site which while it probably has a few none Liverpool supporters the vast majority follow Liverpool.

Its a well known site on redcafe as some absolutely amazing stuff is posted on their about United at times.

So you redirected him to a site that clearly isn't Liverpool only (your obvious presence on it suggesting this) making your suggestion meaningless.

And I ask again why? He made a statement of fact that there have been more non Liverpool posters on a Liverpool thread on the Liverpool section of the forum. Something I asked on the match thread myself.

Neither of us stated you shouldn't be allowed. Merely find it very strange as we have been "mediocre" for some time. We can't quite grasp the reason for this obsessive interest. I did ask on the other thread but despite your near ever presence not one of you cared to explain.

It can't be because of the people as you consider us all "tin foil hat wearing delusional head cases"

You don't support the team.

So why your continual presence? If not to WUM; What does it achieve in your life?
 
First off I am not a member on that site, go have a read on their, its a joke of a place. Its a liverpool website, just like redcafe is a United website. Not606 is a football website. If you want a one tracked discussion go to a clubs official or unofficial website. Thats all I was saying.

So why my continual presence? Think I answered this, my thread is on here and at times there are some interesting discussions on here so why not get involved? What do you achieve by posting on this site out of interest? Hope its satisfying whatever it may be.

Look, I have pointed out many times some posters on here have an issue with anyone posting on here, regardless of who they support including liverpool. Hell only today was one of your fellow fans criticised for posting something against Liverpool and there lies the issue. A few members on here dont like anything bad said against the club when in all fairness their are matters that could be discussed and I think we all agree Liverpool are a big club who will always ignite discussion. Just like United.
 
Plus you do have some nutters on here who are almost certainly wearing a tin hat right now. Some of the **** you post about United on here is classic.
