My M.O.T. test is due at the end of the month. Wonder if they'll extend certificates like they did during the last full lockdown.

mine is due it’s first one next week and booked in for tomorrow morning, think garages are still allowed to be open as they are classed as essential.

There’s only one area of blame that we are back in lockdown. The feral ****y, cowardly Covidiots. A pathetic excuse for humanity. These ****ers ****ed it up for the majority at a time where a new strain is rampant. Parties galore all across the country over the past month.

I’ll say again... if ****s stayed away from each other... the virus dies off.

Premier League football allowed to continue. Disgraceful. One rule for one, one rule for another. Money talks.

Agree. I'm not going to blame Boris for most of this situation, it's an impossible job. What I do find odd (and pretty stupid the more i think about it) is why the announcement was delayed until 8pm to confirm something that news outlets were trailing at 2-3pm? There's then a mad dash of information from schools/parents/employers/employees regarding what is happening tomorrow. 10:50 and I've not finished responding to emails from parents in my form regarding their concerns over whether they classify as key workers and can drop their kids off tomorrow.

Would it have killed him to have made the announcement at 4 or 5? I think it's created a bunch of stress and panic (in the short term) that could have been easily avoided. A minor thing in the grand scheme of things.

Looks like I will still be working but not full time if I have understood the new rules correctly. Probably going to take a few days to find out the full implications.

Apparently elite sport is allowed to continue which is very surprising to me.

So just a normal work routine for you then Nev by the sound of it. Could you use the extra time to update the 2016 Prediction League. I seem to remember that Captain Wrong was nicely poised.

My Mrs was due to fly back to UK this coming weekend but as her business is now locked down again she is searching round for a valid excuse not to have to spend any more time with me. Current one is that there's a man coming to 'finish the patio' next week.

It's a disgrace mate. While millions of people, 'the Excluded', have been stopped from even earning a living, these pampered footballers can continue to play. I am refusing to stay indoors while this is allowed to happen. 'We are all in it together' my arse.

Don’t see why elite sport can’t continue. They have all testing protocol in place and only issues are when players don’t follow general rules etc.

Actually think having elite sport to watch is a bonus during lockdown. Maybe just classify Newcastle as non-elite to improve the viewing experience.

Case to be made for locking away players in hotel/ training ground bubbles to reduce contact with families etc.

Its about trying to set an example 'We are all in this together'...which clearly we aren't. And why should footballers be given tests when so many of us aren't? It's a piss take.

Right so let them entertain us while we are in lockdown. Sure they won’t be using NHS for testing. There are loads of private labs doing it. Anyone can get a test sone with them.
