We talk about our pets as if they are our children. In my case they are or were. One of the girls had hydrotherapy which is swimming in a small pool for a few minutes to get the muscles in the legs moving. It helped her. The other one is afraid of water has acupuncture...we do anything to keep our mutts fit and healthy I suppose. Mammys boy has problems with his skin and his ears so gets regular visits to the vet for drops and jabs. And no we are not insured....never seemed to cover treatments at any time so....
The adoption papers say purebred Staffie Rhod. She’s very small for a Staffie tho, and timid...so who knows mate.
This is our adopted Patterdale Terrier, rescued from a dog’s home. We lost our beloved Schnauzer (Bauza) named after a certain player, in March. Left such a gaping hole that we let this little feller into our home.
On the subject of dogs....I thought dogs were not allowed on the beaches of Swansea and Gower between the months of May to September. Or have the council changed the law this year due to Covid? Edit....sorry October.
It appears that dogs are allowed on the beach between sketchy lane and the rec the old bridge that still hasn’t been put together despite the promises of the idiots at County Hall
DONT. FORGET! NATIONAL DOGS DAY TOMORROW. Aug 26th. ........ So plenty of fuss, walks, pampering, and treats, for all the pleasure they have given us , including all the naughty things they have been up to. Let them have their way, including pinching your favourite chair. ..... best of luck.
Having a bit of a problem with our dog. She got up from her bed on Thurs night and couldn't move her back leg. So off to the out of hours vet, they kept her in overnight. She was then taken to the Riyal Vet College which is only a mile from us. The Neurology team looked at her over two days and their diagnosis is either a disc issue or she had a mild stroke. So we are having to carry out physio 3 times a day on her leg. They will look at her again in 3-4 weeks and hopefully an improvement else it's an MRI scan.
