Sounds like the same place . It's no longer an Indian takeaway and was top of wheeler street close to the new Aldi . Still have my taste buds but my Constitution was awry for a while .

Had a very pleasant curry while playing poker with Askew, Fer Ark and others recently
Obviously was already pissed when someone suggested hot sauce and brought out the Mad Dog 357 at 750k Scovilles

****ing hell! I only smeared half a spoonful on a naan and was genuinely in pain. Tongue went the same as when you have an injection at dentists. I could vaguely tell it was still there, but it was completely numb no matter what I tried to wash it down with

    NOT recommended

Mz Kempton cooks all my curries. Vindaloo, Madras, Goan, Rendang's my fav.
    Fresh ingredients are key.
Never go to Indians anymore, they just can't compete.

Ere QC, did you know that the base for most Indians is gravy?

The Indians refer to any curry sauce as a gravy.

Bloody hell, are you one of those people that chastises people who don't eat the hottest curries? I enjoy a Madras, but I've eaten some really nice mild curries. I went on a stag do last year in Newcastle and had a tikka masala and chips. The others ordered Vindaloos, Tinderloos and other stupid hot curries. I enjoyed mine, padded the stomach for a night out. They ate theirs, then moaned about how hot it is. They were taking the piss out of me, but I enjoyed mine. They said "all I can taste is burning." Well, what was the ****ing point then? You should enjoy your food, not eat it because it's some sort of competition. And they paid £12 for it. Idiots.

I don't mind it, provided it's from a decent place. I've had some bad ones and some nice ones.

I do like a hot curry, but I couldn't agree more with all of the above.

Love a good Bhuna or Dopiaza, oh and Rogan Josh.

We had an Indian fella staying for a month a while back. His staple diet was rice and daal with a bit of pickle or chutney to liven it up. I cooked him meat once and he didn't really know what to do with it, same with fish. He ate it all but obviously preferred his rice and daal.

He was probably a vegetarian mate and didn't want to dishonor you by refusing your food.

He'll have killed himself now. Just saying like...
