I was in Cape Town SA a few years ago with the worst hangover known to man and they brought this plate of langoustines over on a platter - for diners to select one - the ****ers were still moving on the plate. Looked like something from Alien
Early 80,s on way to Spiders from George St there was an Indian takeaway down some steps. Bloke behind the counter looked like Sev Ballesteros. He did Keema Currys. Tried a Phall one night. Jesus. Lets just say it was a good job Spiders drinks where cheap.
That's fair, I'm the opposite, seafood is a fave of mine. I usually have sushi for dinner, for example.
At the resorts in Mexico that mainly cater for American tourists, they take all the chilli out of everything as well. Fortunately, the buffet had chillis as display all round the dishes, so we chopped them up and dropped them in the meals.
I quite like their lunch set menu, apart from getting caught out the first time I went, as one of the small dishes was the desert. It's quick and easy and pretty cheap for what it is, though as you say, it's not a meal top go for if you're starving. Try it on a night and order from the proper menu, service is generally slow, but the food's very good.
Thursday night was 50p to get in and 50p a drink all night. We used to go in there get tanked up and if it was quiet go over to romeos. I got thrown out head first through the doors once after goosing a page 3 girl. Luckily the Cossack on my bouffant stopped any damage being done to my brain. I think
About 20 years ago I tried the hottest curry I've seen on the menu , it was called a king cobra bite . The following day I wished I hadn't .
My mate had a cobra bite once. Think it may have been somewhere like Boothferry road or Anlaby road. Menu showed it as 10* next to the 6* vindaloo. Daft bastard has destroyed his taste buds with hot food so a vindaloo to others probably tastes like a Korma to him.
I love any flavoured curry. Hot, spicy, mild. It all depends on my mood. Regardless of what I have I usually piss through my ass the following morning Must have pickle tray and papadom.
