Hi, Knack, yes I did post similar on the old 606 but worth repeating to show how far Nathan has progressed in this respect - credit to him for the obvious work he has put in. I don't think he's ready for England yet, though, but if he maintains his recent form during the season he must be in with a chance.... a good chance actually. Harking back to my old post, I remember Trunds at shooting practice as well. He was just different class. All left foot but what a left foot!! While it took Nathan all he could do to find a clean strike, Trunds was power driving, chipping, disguising direction to fool the keeper, almost every effort a crisp, effortless strike. Like him or loath him, the guy was a talent and I'd have loved to see him at the top level as a young fit player. Not to be but some wonderful memories nonetheless.
The scary part about Dyer ,Ivor, is he led the team the last 2 seasons ( shared 1 year with another player ) in assists while he couldn't hit the broad side of a barn door with a shot ....... Now he's got the shot , experience & a pretty fair greeting for the fans when he scores Lol .
What worries me, with all this positive development of our players, is that it will only be a matter of time before the fat cats, throw money our way, and we'll then have a job, holding on to our style of play, which brings me too a related issue, and that is our Academy, or the lack of it, it's time that was sorted, if we are to continue to progress, and train youngsters the Swansea way proffesionaly!!................... please log in to view this image
