Also, by no metrics has NJ improved anything. He’s made us worse at attacking, worse at defending and alienated the entire club. I knew it was a bad appointment, but it’s been catastrophic.
Assuming Jones is gone. I'm of the opinion that we should be bringing in a new manager, not sticking with Selles. Think we need someone fresh who can come in and galvanise the group. Even if Selles is popular among the players (no idea if he is or not), still think a 'fresh start' is important in trying to change our form and confidence. I'd also rather we still go for a manager to try and keep us up and move us forward rather than accept we are down and bring in a manager to bring us up from the Championship next season. We're not a complete lost cause yet, and even if we can only bring in someone until the end of the season fine. If we are to get relegated there will be a massive change in playing personel anyway so I see no reason why we would need to bring in a manager to get us out of the Championship now rather than at the end of the season when it's confirmed. Yes we appear to be ****ed, but I believe we have enough good players that we can get out of it. 17 games left. It'll take a monumental turnaround given the state we are currently in, but it' not impossible.
If Ankersen does give him the Wolves game, his ego is bigger than I thought. And I thought his ego was planetary sized in the first instance.
He's lost the dressing room and part of his staff... How is it even up for discussion! Just get out of the club.
It was a spectacularly arrogant, “I know more than you do”, appointment from Ankersen in the first place. Too clever by half, but he’ll get some respect back post window, for doing the right (and obvious) thing here.
Don't really think this fans forum thing should go ahead tomorrow. I'd far rather SR and co be working their asses off trying to persuade a new manager to come in and save us.
Well, we are in the endgame everybody. Time to buckle up and hope this comes to an end sooner rather than later
